JBR Oil Pan Baffle

Has anyone installed the JBR oil pan baffle? any noticeable benefits? Planning to get one from edge auto sport since im getting a new oil pan..wondering of its worth it?

Hopefully you pick up / have already installed a balance shaft delete kit. If so, yes it's worth it.

You can only install it if you also have a balance shaft delete since the stock balance shaft acts as a baffle in the oil pan.

I'm going to say no. Unless you are in the middle of building an engine and do not want to mess with reinstalling the balance shaft.

You have to remove the balance shaft to install the baffle and to be honest you are not going to notice any positive difference by removing the balance shaft. It's just wasted time and money on stock block in my opinion.

I say this and I have the bsd and baffle installed but that is because of my first response. I was putting together my engine and didn't want to mess with reinstalling the balance shaft.

^^ what @jdmage_mx5; said. if you dont already have the balance shaft assembly out because you are building just leave it in. It wont gain you any noticeable HP or anything removing it, and then you also dont have to deal with 7 qt oil changes.

7 quart oil changes are ridiculous for a 2.3L.

What's wrong with 7 quart oil changes?

They suck and get expensive when you break in an engine...twice due to stupidity LOL. I've got 50qts of oil sitting on the side of my house waiting to be recycled.
