Lost my damn keys!!!
 

So I go to grab sunglasses out of my car this morning and I can't find the spare keys I keep in the kitchen. In kind of a rush, so I don't think to much about it. I figure I'll just look for them when I get back. To make a long story short, the wife, kids and I combed the house, and we can't find them.

The last place I remember seeing them was within reach of my two year old... I was cleaning the snow off the cars and absentmindedly tossed them on the steps that lead up to the second floor. That was a week ago. She could have hidden them almost anywhere in the house, unless she put them in the trash. She doesn't normally do that, but we checked all of her usual hiding spots without success.

It's possible that I put them somewhere and don't remember.

The good part, I have the set I use everyday. The bad news, I never took the metal tag with the key number off the "spare key" ring with the fob. So I am out the key, the fob, and the metal tag. The stealership is going to hose me.

Complete and utter fail on my part.

I woke up in the middle of the night remembering I left them in a sweatshirt.

Sweatshirt keys are generally cheaper than dealership keys, in my experience.
