MS 6: HAWK PADS, Lines, +more are stocked Lucky MazdaSpeed 6 drivers :beerchug:, We are stocked up and ready to ship Hawk Ceramics, HPS, and HP+ pads. We also have Stainless Steel brake lines and brake fluids. To help some of you on deciding which pad is best for you I will try to describe the characteristics of each pad. First off these pads are street pads, so they are legal to drive on the streets. I will go in order of luxury to straight performance, so to start off: http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o...ramic_pads.jpg 1.Hawk Ceramics – These pads will have better braking bite then OEM, and have low dust and noise output. This is perfect pad for daily driving in the city, and emergency braking situations. These pads are popular among show cars as they prevent wheels from getting layers of hard to remove brake dust. These pads can also be used during autocross events, but they might suffer from overheating (brake fade) over long term continuous braking and will wear fast under spirited driving. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o...1-1000-2-1.jpg 2.Hawk HPS – These pads are also great for daily driving with their carbon/metallic compound. From customer reviews these pads tend to have a little less initial bite than Ceramics, but these pads also have much better braking over OEM. The reason why Carbon/metallic compound is used is because they wear slower, and last longer. These pads have low noise and low dust output, but not as low as the ceramics. These pads can also be used for autocross events, and they should hold up rather well. These pads might not hold up in racing conditions that exceed autocross speeds. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o...wk_hp_plus.jpg 3.Hawk HP+ (plus) – The HP+ pad is the ultimate performance street pad. This pad is made to stop you and do it reliably. The HP+ has an aggressive carbon/metallic compound that gives you race level braking, but comes with consequences with higher dust and noise output. These pads will most likely squeal occasionally, but that’s just the characteristics of performance brake pads. Lastly these pads are meant for continuous hard braking, and will hold up at higher temperatures (brake fade prevention) Here are the links to the pads and lines on Race-Roots. Some HP+ looking for a nice home! |
That is a bad ass deal |
Do the brake lines mount exactly like the OEM ones? I have heard that some brake line kits for the MS6 have a non-OEM fitment and can rub on the suspension. |
