The kit came with 4 hoses....but we ended up using only 2 in the end. Here is why, everything I tell you is from the point of view of one standing in front of the car facing it. The first hose we did was the driver side one.....nice quality, blue matches my Cobb couplers and SRI....but, it isn't a perfect match for the stocker......I had to cut 1.25 inches from the engine side because without this the hose collapsed from the extra length. Even after having done this the hose being a slightly different contour meant that it wasn't perfectly round in all its length. I left this hose in my car. Next we put in the top left (facing the car) from the resevoir to the radiator. Breakdown81 installed this one and seemed like a nice fit. That is until I started the car..checked for leaks and noticed the serpentine belt cut a 1/3 of an inch deep gash on the new hose. We took it off and compared it to stock.....not the same shape....stock one was 2 inches off towards the passenger side of the car. Put the stock one back on. After that, we put the lower passenger side one (snail looking one) checked the contour and it was 95% true to it so it fit decently enough. Now for the last one....shortest piece , contour didnt match the one we assumed it was supposed to replace (top hose that conncets to metal fitting for another hose) so after the experience we decided not to try to make it work.
Conclusion........ the kit looks nice but the dimensions are to say the least lacking. I post this to warn the others that have this kit and to watch out for these things and to get some feedback to see what was anyone elses experience with this kit. |
