Default Pump Internals Failing...

Well some of you have heard we had a few pump internals fail, we took the last 6 days trying to figure out what the problems is... good news we found it.

What happed?

The machine that performs the process on these pumps has a wearable item on it (didn't know this until Monday) well it seems that this one machine tool is worn out now and it caused some headache for us in the last batch and the 130 units that we have sitting here.

We have taken all of the current pump units down to be checked with an axis mic that measures down to the .5 millionth of an inch. All the parts are going to be hand fit and checked twice to verify that they are good. We have added a new process to the pumps that will allow this never to happen again. Good news is, we caught 99% of them in the last batch and only 8 were shipped out of this batch (we have gotten 6 of them back already) with two working just fine right now.

Quality Control is what caught this problem and expect the standards to stay at these levels for many years to come.

To anyone that has bought a PTP HPFP and its working good, you have nothing to worry about. The failure was caused from an out of round or tripod shaped machine wheel that was causing the pumps to fail during break-in or during start up. All our pumps come with a Lifttime warranty, so if you are worried about your pump or the pump performace, please contact us.

sooo john...
... i wish i woulda known this earlier man... i just called yesterday to ask for my stock pump back and reimbursment... you didnt even give me a hard time about it, my pump is on my way home (i saw the tracking number) and ill get yours shipped as soon as i get mine back and running...

it sucks but hey... shit happens, and it seems you cought it on time. I wish you luck man, great service, and im sure this "bad batch" will be forgotten soon.

as for me... that shit you told me about the debris is kinda on the back of my mind...

is it possible you let me know how this pump (the one im gonna send to you in a couple days) looks?.... if it has more debris or not?

My PTP internals have just arrived after 4 months over to Northern Ireland (nothing to do with PTP by the way) and are being fitted next week.......

good to hear,now that this problem has been solved ill be ordering a set of your internals.i dont have a dash hawk or anything to monitor pressure so i was a bit worried about those problems.i diddnt want to put it on and not know if i had a bad set,either way a bad set probably wouldnt be any worse than my 60k mile pump lol
