Default trying to understand ots knock

So I flashed stage 2(since I have tp and internals now) sur1+tih+ic and fuel trims are as they should be without having done a maf cal yet. Id say I have about 100 miles on the flash. This afternoon I noticed some knock. Am I right to say that all looks normal except the bats? From what I have read bats should be closer to ambient at wot?. Is my knock strictly from over 90 degree ambient temps with a tmic? intake temp of 120 and bats of starting at 150 and dropping to 125 near the end of the log?


I apologize for the 2nd log. its long and useless after the pull, but for some reason when you try to edit it with excel it goes apeshit

You're also running leaner than you should be on the OTS maps. I'd command closer to 11s to help cool the combustion chambers.

well I've been in line for a perm, and I had pm'd bucker a long while back with no response. Id love to have someone like lex tune it. I have been putting off going to ettuning and having it dynod until I got a full downpipe, but if Im gonna fight crap like this along the way then I guess I need to get something done now!


i pulled the weatherstrip out that runs along the back of the bay, well see if that helps any also

I had the same thought process. I figured no sense getting an Etune just for a stage 1 when I was going to be doing stage 2 eventually. Well I got sick of seeing crazy BAT's, 2-3psi boost spikes, bad knock, maxed out WGDC, etc... I contacted rfinkle2 and I couldn't be happier. I never felt confident about driving my car without monitoring knock until he got ahold of my map and tweaked it. A very nice, genuine, knowledgable guy that goes out of his way to help you understand how and why he tuned your car the way he did. Sitting in 98 degree traffic yesterday I saw BAT's up to 145-150 and after getting on it I NEVER saw knock above .5 on 93 octane. And I am pretty sure that was phantom spool up knock!

Try Bucker again, I just finished my Dizzy tune so maybe he has some free time...I was on PERM list for like 5 months and still wasn't even close to being my turn...
