bump. spare block built, head w/ a little head work, and a 5858 sitting in the garage ready to go. this setup still runs fine, but i want more. ill be making a build thread soon. ill link it here and the OP.

big props to @bcmurphy87; for helping me get the block done. used his local guy and handled most of the middle man work.

So what are you at mileage wise put on the stock block after installing the bt? I am thinking this turbo is what I want just want it to be quite reliable. I wouldn't be aiming as high as you did I would probably keep it on pump. Also, did you ever have any clutch issues while on the k04 or only after the gt?

I was right around 41k. The clutch was fine k04. Started slipping during e85 tuning.

No I had 41 k on the block when it went on. I'm sitting at 56k now.

Haha yea I guess I should have put 2 and 2 together...driving 40k miles in 1.5 years is a bit excessive lol.

15k trouble free miles aside from clutch is still good. I had a hiccup on stock clutch last month at the drag strip after about 10 passes but immediately stopped racing and haven't had a issue since. Vdyno said around 325wtq. Assuming the gt30 on pump on the street will probably hold several thousands of miles more
