Default Custom FMIC Piping

Hey guys,

Looking to get a TR8 core and fab a custom crash bar for my Genpu. Since I have a DC TIG welder (actually multiprocess except for AC) I want to fab my own intercooler piping instead of spending money on some poorly fitting, overpriced CXRacing piping. I can get 18 gauge stainless steel and fab a nice set of pipes, so I figure why not, doing it myself will be at least $100 cheaper. I know SS does not dissipate heat as well as aluminum, but thatís what the big ass TR8 is for, Plus Iíll be using 18 gauge which is pretty thin wall, wonít be that much heavier than aluminum pipe mf anyway.

Now I do have the Corksport turbo, I know the outlet size is the same as stock, but I donít know what size that is. That and the throttle body inlet size. Anyone know the sizes? That way I can get the coupler for the turbo and the TB, and then a couple of 2.5Ē couplers for the IC. Iíll have to source a stainless steel BPV flange too.

Use 2.5" piping.
Turbo is 2"...I believe. Your tape measure won't lie to you.
Throttlebody is 2-3/4"...I believe. Again, use your tape measure to verify.
