Default Manifold or tmic next?

Hey guys, mods are I. Sig, i just can't figure what to so next. Tmic or manifold. Summer is here and it's hot. Buuutt I alos just got my custom exhaust work done 3" straight pipe, to go with my cat less dp, I would love to complete it all with the manifold. But which would benefit more. Power desire is just 380-400hp and 400tq. N which would b more to play with,

LOL at all these hopes and dreams without HPFP! The only thing you should be hoping and dreaming for is that you can find a good used block before you blow a hole in yours!

No I don't have internals was going to get next, but my last tune I did I was holding strong at 1780-1820 for some reason. Me and my tuner budd think the person before me had the Internals installed already. Second lol 380 is hard to achieve yes on stock turbo I know this, I want to get the gt3076. So I'm thinking CPe tmic, tune it again and if nothing looks different with my hdfp, short term, or etc then def internals next

Dyno with current mods were 301/332

Do yourself a favor and get the internals. Its not like there is a chance that your internals will slowley fail and you will catch it soon enough. Here today, gone tomorrow. Its not worth the risk. Specially with the mods you already have done

Hhmmm. Maybe I'll get the auto tech next then instead of the other two.. I'm also going through another problem right now. Happened after I install my straight pipe.I can't go more them half throttle with out the car stuttering. I am un sure if it's the plugs because I changed them three weeks ago. But to b on the safe side I'm ditching the garbage ngks and getting the densos to see if it was the plugs.

Ur probably hitting fuel cut, because of overboostl thats why it stutters? it so we can dind out. If ur constantly holding 17xx to 18xx on wot, u probably have fp or fp internal upgrade from the previous owner. Pull it and check its noticible, if u have it great if not, buy one before a ic or mani

NGK plugs are a good choice. The 6510's are one step colder than stock. Stock plugs are NGK's too (just rebranded with . . . FoMoCo!). Check your plug gap. The 6510's MUST be regapped. They come with a huge gap. Gap them down to .028" and see if that solves your problem. You may be getting boost spark blow out.

This is what happened to me when my internals failed.

What's your fuel pressure when the car starts acting up?

Fuel pressure still looks good. But I need to check my logs when I get a free chance. Don't seem to be going below 1600

Log your boost, when you go catless its super easy to hit the overboosting mark. also watch your MAF voltage as that can cause a stutter. over boosting will be a violent CUT and MAF will be a stutter from my experience.

This makes sense. Because it didn't start happening until I did the straight pipe. Boost is at 18-22. According to the access port. What numbers should I b looking for on the maf voltage?

Yes. Avoid boost till you get this sorted.

Edit: and yes you very well could be over boosting with ots wgdc values.

when i went catless i started to over boost, it took a day or two of driving for the computer to compensate with my new map and then BOOM! overboosting like crazy! the K04 can handle around 25psi (from what i hear) however i overboost at 23PSI and have my WGDC % turned WAY WAY WAY down and am still hitting 20PSI no problem and holding the full pull,

plus remember, depending on how much you are loggin with the AP it is a delayed response, so you may be reading 21-23 PSI when the in turbo PSI is a little higher.....

stay out of boost as this can really muck up your motor!

Thanks a lot, I have denso, and autotechs in route. Excited to re tune. My next hill to climb is e85. So I can reach that quicker since I have my internals on the way

Without a 3 bar map you might not read 23 psi. Anything over 21 psi with a stock map sensor is dangerous imo. And by 25 psi the k04 would be a flame thrower.

Truth. Unless you have a manual boost gauge you really don't know what your boost is, if you are on the stock MAP sensor and are seeing 21.5-22 psi. The sensor runs out of voltage range at about 21.5-22 psi. So, it keeps reading that value even though boost may be much higher.

Theoretically, you could be overboosting at 30 psi and the OBD2 port reading would be 22 because of a maxed out sensor.

If you are completely catless there is a good chance.

The way to get rid of it is lower wgdc in the area of the spike.

it wont go away over time, in fact, it may not do it right out of the gate and will start to over boost over time. Have a tune done. Lex is doing mine and had to turn the WGDC % WAY down to keep me from over boosting in my MS6

Ok, why pull the internals to see if they are in there (greater chance of fucking something up), I've learned by commanding +/- 1900psi, you can tell... The stock internals will not give it to you. Correct me if I'm wrong

So my my prob could've been fixed if I lowered wgdc and got new plugs. My tuner said with raised temps require more boost for more load. So until I get my tmic going to lower boost

I already bought the internals so to late
