Yes... I like the seats better than I do my gen 1 seats... When I was looking at my gen 1, I test drove a genpu, and I hated the interior in comparison

I drove with those seats for 2 years.. not fun at all for a long road trip. That damn vent makes your head hurt :(

Really, well different strokes. I just found the fit and finish to be seriously lacking and the longevity to be short personally. some of the fabrics etc i like better, dont get me wrong, but not at that lifespan

from what i've seen, people who talk about going FI on their honda or toyota or whatever other shitbox never get around doing it because they want to "turbo on a budget". on top of that, 2K seems like a decent price for turbo and 250+ hp but you will also be looking at a higher risk of shit going wrong, so have that extra cash ready in case something does go wrong and needs fixing.

I dont understand why are you considering doing anything with your civic and comparing that to buying a new speed3. apples to oranges.

If what you're saying is true about getting about the same amt you paid for the civic, it's pretty much a no-brainer that you should trade it in for a new car, regardless of it being a genpu or whatever. Driving a car for X amt of yrs and then getting back what you originally paid for it is pure win in my book. If you plan to drop a turbo into the civic, financially speaking, it's not the best move.

I say trade it in and get a new car.

For the money there are very very few cars faster and more fun to drive then the MS3. Honestly in the value department the MS3 is insane. And as always I would buy used even if that means just a year or two old....but then again I hear the used market is insanely $$$ right now.

Id have to agree if you are able to get back what you paid or close to what you paid for it then do that.

just went to see genpus and the salesman was kind of a dick. didnt wanna let me test drive and kinda standoffish. currently at the hyundai dealer looking at genesis coupes, much more friendly.

So go to a different dealer. The 2.0T genesis can't even compete with the ms3, all the mags compare the ms3 to the v6 300hp genesis. Not to mention, i see a genesis around every corner, just like a gti and civic si.

Genesis is a nice car but have you dont research on the 6speed manuals? A decent amount of people are having lockout issues with the 5th gear.

Go find another Mazda dealer and test drive a ms3. I owned a FA5 2007 si. The seats held me pretty nice, and they were fairly comfortable. Next the clutch was lighter ofcourse, and was shifted more smoothly compared to my ms3. BUT....... as for as "OVERALL" interior quality? IMHO..my ms3 looks much better, less cheap. I have a GT btw.

I have driven the 2010+ ms3, and I didnt care for 2 things: the small gps screen and the color scheme inside. But other than that, Mazda a good job..I do prefer the 2 gauge cluster vs the 3 gauge in the gen 1.

But bang for your buck the ms3 is wayyy up there!...your getting 263hp/280tq off the bat...and slap on bolt ons+tune and your flirting with or at 300 whp/300+ wtq.

And enough with this blown engine shit...my goodness our old past just keeps on haunting us!....This platform is not like a srt4..you can just dump big turbos and bolt ons and go crazy..our fuel pump is a POS...we have a cam driven fuel pump and complicated ecu..were direct injection...ALOT of progress has been made and it seems every week we got a new 400 whp car joining the club,nevermind alot of BT guys running strong power on stock block for quite some time.

Duuuuuuude, All salesman are bastards, some are just better at lubing you up first. The entire Honda dealership here is fradulent, like in the news, I dont judge Hondas as bastard pieces of crap based off that, i do it based off the well recorded history of the car. FYI, I would never buy a Hyundai, one of the worst reliabilities in the industry. Dont blame me when 2-2.5 years from now its already giving up on life and losing body parts everywhere.

I'd say your YMMV. These years in particular had bad issues in the tranny, lockouts, grinds, notchiness. I have experience with an 09 and I cant confirm better shifting. Not that zx2man didnt have it, just that... imo, its a crap shoot.

Get the Hyundai and fuck off...
