2010 spark plugs i have a 2010 ms3 with slight mods. nothing serious. anyways i have been searching for spark plugs, ngk's wont fit or sothing like that and i dont want to put denso's in. i really want ngk but there isnt anything out there. i went to jcsspeed.com and the ngk's are from 2007-2010. i called them and they said they wont work. any suggestions |
Yes the ngk LTR7IX-11 will work for your car and we have them in stock NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs Mazdaspeed 3 MS3 Mazdaspeed 6 MS6 |
^What he said. Got mine from edge. |
dont be stuck to a brand. Denso itv22's are great. most people run them. only problem is you cant find them anywhere. luckily i just found a store that had 4 of them on amazon so i jumped on it. your gonna want to go 1 step colder. i believe the heat range is 7 for ngk. anyways, you will have to regap the ngks alot more than the denso's. talk to @eric@edgeautosport for more info. goto jcsspeed if you drive a wrx lol Quote:

I would be cautious of the Densos, there have been a bunch of failures with them. I switched to NGK's till it gets sorted out. |
i went from denso to ngk and love the ngk's alot more.. nothing was really wrong with the denso's it was an trial and error with an issue in my car.. and needless the say though im glad i changed to ngk |
I got my NGK's from Edge and they work great. |
I pulled my Denso's out and found that one of them had a fractured insulator, as soon as I touched it with a fine screwdriver it flaked off. That would have sucked if it were in the cylinder. |
edge i will be getting some ngk's from you soon here. i had one set of denso fail already. |

WTF, they have them on their site but say they won't work? Fucking Christ, that is the most retarded thing. Avoid them. Go through a MSF supporting Vendor who knows what works. Hell, they think the AP is just now compatible with 2011 MS3's. smh. Buy from edge, get HP gaining stickers. But don't go step-colder for the fuck of it, you should have supporting mods, or high knock, to necessitate them. |
i called my local oreilly auto. they had them in that afternoon. paid when i picked them up. NGK Iridium IX 6510 - Spark Plug | O'Reilly Auto Parts but, it's true that you should only change the heat range if you need them or have enough mods to justify. |
You are going to have to bring the gap down on those plugs most likely (if you decide to install them). Gap to .026-.028 or you will experience misfires. The gap difference is likely why most vendors do not list them as applicable to our cars. The NGK's seem to be running well in many cars. |
My Densos are still holding strong, however I have a set of the NGKs sitting in my toolbox waiting to go in the car. |

There is also a rumor going around that Denso pulled them from the market, due to the many failures, which has led to the supply shortage. |

Seeing the 2 together, the NGK's definitely are a bit bulkier / seem more substantial. |

whats the point of goign one step colder if i have barely any mods, SRI, STRAIGHT PIPE after the cat and FULL RECIRC BOV. i think one step colder is one step to much. is there just a standard NGK plug that will work. i just dont want to put random shit on my car if i dont have to. i put pulstar's in and they failed after 2 weeks. |
