2011 MS3 Navigation

Hey guys,

I have a 2011 MS3 and having some issues with Navigation. The ETA is ridiculously off.

For example: If I take a 60 mile trip and for example's sake, I go 60 miles an hour, I should be there in 1 hour. The ETA would tell me 2 hours. It would eventually keep going down to the time when I get there but it just boggles my mind that it's off by that much.

It's also not very reliable as far as taking the best route so I always end up having to use my phone, which is extremely frustrating since I should be able to rely on the one in the car.

Either way, does anyone know if these issues get resolved with the new update? I almost don't feel like dropping $200 on the update if it doesn't solve the problems.

Not sure about GenPu, but GenWon has speed options, and they were conservative for average freeway being 60 mph.

I calculated it and even if I went the speed limit, I would beat the ETA that my Nav says.

Are there options to choose the fastest way to get from point A to point B? I couldn't find any of those options when I was looking around in there.

There are a lot of good things about our cars, the navigation is not one of them. Pretty sure the software for a 2011 car is at least 10 years old based on some the info. I thought at one time VIP had access to an update on here. I just never fucked with it.

Are there any improvements with the new update besides obviously some new roads? Is it worth the $200?

It must be linked to the same carputer that can't get the MPG and Range estimates within a reasonable tolerance.

Compared to the Nav in my BRZ, this thing is actually great! But that's not saying much actually.

I've been happy with the nav system so far, after 2 uses. Although basically any smartphone blows all in-car nav out of the water.

You're lucky enough to have the 13' nav. 12> have something akin to a color game boy taped in the dash. Meh.

Oh, gotcha. Still learning the differences between model years.
