Default 2011 Speed3 Headlight issue

I'm gonna start this off with saying hi, I'm new to the forum, this is my first post. I've searched the forum before posting this, I've scoured the internet for answers to no avail so I am posting to forums much like this one in hopes someone has an answer.

With that said, let's get started.

I just bought my 2011 used a couple of months ago, tech package with adaptive bi-xenon headlights, no DRLs. My passenger side light went out, I bought a cheap pair off of Amazon in hopes it wasn't the ballast (I know this is stupid, but in the heat of the moment I didn't think to just pop in the driver's side bulb to see if that would work). Luckily, it wasn't the ballast.

However, through doing this I encountered another issue. The plastic POS that holds down the retention spring bars (whatever you would like to call them) for holding in the bulb/igniter busted off, and now my headlight no longer stays in and inevitably gets vibrated out of the igniter. Naturally, I tried super glue, but obviously I knew this would not be a permanent fix.

My hopes are that is it possible to just buy the halogen pigtail harnesses and a set of halogen headlamp assemblies to replace these as I don't want the potential (expensive) issues and upkeep that come with having HID headlights. That, or a suggestion for a replacement that doesn't cost me 700-800 bucks. I've looked, but it's hard to find these specific headlights. Any help at all is appreciated.

Just get a used one, you may also get it from high end gt model maybe if you compare part numbers...

That's still at least 600ish bucks. I did find one that was 300,but it didn't have the adaptive lighting and I'm not sure if that would cause a problem

make sure the non adaptative isn,t a standard halogene...

but keep searching, i would definitely won't pay 600$ for a used headlight....it still worth 2-300$ but 600 is expensive.....Look a personal people with blown speed that part it out instead of repairing it.

Take a picture of it.

I've been searching for the same headlight and they're stupid expensive.
Used or Aftermarket.

There is something called Quick-Steel which is a Putty Epoxy which is SUPER EASY to use.
All you do is knead if for about 30sec to a min, then form it on the broken piece.
It dries quickly about 3 Min I would guess.

I think I will try the putty. Definitely better than either option.. I appreciate the advice, both of you.

you can give it a try, it cannot be worse anyway.

take a picture of the broken part...just in case it could be a standard part that you could take out from a cheaper or older light assembly....
