I just noticed this.

2014 Mazda 3 Rendering and Information – News – Car and Driver

It mentions the possibility of a new MS3, but of course no details. I personally think this rendering looks too much like the CX-5 and too little like the new 6.

Torque steer? Um, i noticed the torque steer the first time i drove the car, since then ive gotten used to it and if anything, when i clamp down on the fucking throttle i am aware of the fact that the car is TAKING OFF. This forces me to do something most people dont do these days which is, be an attentive driver...

For daily driving in an economical fashion, the car has no discernible torque steer that would make the experience anything less than pleasurable.

What I don't like is that it looks like a CX-5s midget girlfriend. Has almost no unique qualities compared to the CX-5.

I like it better than the current. It definitely has Mazda 6 and cx5 design cues.

Who the fuck doesn't love torque steer? The MS3/6 is for a certain kind of driver, it's not suited for everyone. I think it's still doing well on the market, otherwise Mazda would stop making them.

There's no aggressive styling of the MS3 on that car. I can imagine it looking pretty good with a different hood and hatch spoiler. I'm glad they got rid of the shit tail lights though.

Maybe if they made cars harder to drive it would keep the people that shouldn't be driving off the road. Torque-steer handling = a more skilled driver

Im curious to see what the next Mazda 3 will look like.....FROM THE MANUFACTURE!
If it looks like this then I will be sticking with nothing speed related until a decent looking on is on the market....

I think it looks great. If the actual replacement 3 looks like this, I would buy a Speed 3 when it came time to replace my current '12, or immediately if they make it AWD.

that's a Photoshop chop job, it looks to be done over a Gen Pu side and they re-sized the new Mazda 6 on it in proportions, u can tell the whole side window and rear door is straight out Gen Pu, and the rear wing was erased badly and the reflection on the rear glass is not proper.

The front end does look a lot like the CX5. Smiley face is gone too. I wonder if Mazda will still make a Speed version of the 3 in 2014? They change the Speed option to different cars every once in a while. They have had it on the Miata, Protoge, a 6 I think and most recently the 3. The Miata is being completely re-done (ND version) and will have a small turbo 4 for 2014. I wonder if that platform will get a Speed version instead of the 3?

It said in the article that the next 3 will be made in mexico to increase profitabilty. I hope they still produce the speed in japan. Most vehicles that come out of mexico loose durability and fit and finish to thier japanese counterparts IMHO.

I'm into it. For some reason it looks a little "narrow" but that might just be the pic being compressed. I could def see a speed3 hiding in there, especially with some more agressive styling cues.
