Depending on the knob you can drill the thread hole out a little deeper and melt in lead/solder to add some weight to it.

Got mine, definitely worth the money. I feel everyone has said everything about it so I won't write a ton more. Mine has a few small blemishes in it, but then again its a $22 shift knob so I am extremely happy

You can't expect something to just "not get hot" if you put anything in an oven at 100 degrees, it doesn't matter what material. It will eventually get up to that temperature. However depending on certain materials, you can notice a difference in how long it takes for something to get warm/cool.

CamSpeed360 05-03-2013 01:04 PM

Just received this email from the seller .

I apologize, as our stocking order on these has been delayed and I will have them mid next to ship.

I love my 2010 knob because it has the metal ring on the shifter that the new ms3 doesn't have. However with the recent 95-101 degree weather that metal rings burns the hand, while rest of leather knob is useable.

This $22 knob if left in 100 degree car, will it require a sock to cover it or be usable Luke the bottom leather of my OEM kno in hot weather?

Tizbitz 05-06-2013 06:59 AM

I ordered one about a week ago, but slow shipping is slow. Should have it in hand sometime around midweek.

Zhoops 05-06-2013 07:33 AM

Just ordered mine today! Thanks for the review, awdmotorsports on eBay offers priority shipping free, ill let you know if its any quicker than amazon :smokin:

Is soon as you put your hand on the knob and get that a/c going it will cool down quickly.

spinfly 05-06-2013 12:54 PM

I think you guys misunderstand what they mean by heat and cold resistance in the Delrin polymer. This doesn't mean it won't get hot, but resists the expanding and shrinking caused by temp extremes. Delrin is used under the hood in many plastic auto parts. It also is very strong and used in one product I think everyone has come in contact with...Bic lighters.

Tizbitz 05-06-2013 02:06 PM

Just got it and put it on, definitely worth the $22. There's not really anything else I can add that's not already covered in this thread. Feels nice and solid in the hand.

Hard, round, and knobby. Exactly!

So i went to their ebay page like another member recommended and I used the Make an Offer option and offered them 20.00 and got an instant approval with still the free priority shipping. They must have a limit set up that automatically will approve. If anyone else makes this purchase you should offer them even less, it will only get denied at worst then you can offer them more.

Yup it's set at $20.00. I went to $19.00 but it wouldn't take it. Everybody offer $20.00 and get it a few bucks cheaper!!!

CamSpeed360 05-09-2013 09:17 AM

Are you guys getting shipping confirmations? Bought mine a week ago and still nothing but that email that said they were on backorder.

CamSpeed360 05-09-2013 03:48 PM

Worbit 05-09-2013 04:28 PM

Maybe its time I finally get rid of this GIANT shifter I've been using for the past year and half. I got it for free when I bought my Cobb SRI and its pretty damn heavy. Anyone have any idea what brand this is?

Got rid of my torn shitty leather and made a fabric boot. Would've rather made it a stretch/tight look but didn't feel like sewing. Maybe another time.

Wambo 05-15-2013 10:31 PM

Dang! I need to order one to try it out. I like a heavier shift knob, but for 22 bucks its worth a try.

Pseudonym 05-20-2013 05:53 PM

cleaned up the boot abit.

Sweetsandman 05-21-2013 06:34 AM

Just ordered the round one :)

xtascox 05-21-2013 10:44 AM

I just jumped on this train as well. I'm curious to see how the lighter weight will feel.

CamSpeed360 05-21-2013 03:57 PM

Got mine for 11 dollars. Got refunded half the price because snippy was delayed.

Me too, dude is refunding $10. Still ain't shipped yet

i8urgti 05-22-2013 12:47 AM

yup i got my refund for $10 too. Now i really cant complain, $10 for a delrin knob? I'm ok if it takes another week

Zhoops 05-22-2013 08:40 AM

Refunded as well. Mine shipped out yesterday and should be here by Friday. Seller was very good with keeping me updated with stocking issues ect

bvbull200 05-22-2013 05:33 PM

I've had a delrin knob for a little while now. I like the light weight. Takes any assumptions out of shifting in that the shifter only goes where you put it.

I ordered mine elsewhere, though, since they offered customization. I had a Mavs pin embedded in mine.
