Got mine today and I'm still undecided. The knob itself is excellent quality but the lighter weight makes shifts feel "cheap" IMO. I'm not really digging the fact that it sits a little lower than stock either. It has a great feel in my hand (that's what she said) but I'm still up in the air whether this will replace the stocker. I can say that I felt more confident shifting since I could feel the gear engagement better and I think that is a good thing. I'll re-evaluate once I install my SSP (along with 15 other mods) next weekend. If someone came out with a shifter extension I think I'd use this knob for it in a heartbeat.

Got mine in last night. The guy emailed me and told me that he gave me 50 percent off be cause it took him 2 weeks to ship it. So for $11.50 this knob is excellent quality and feels great with my twm replacement, even for the whopping $22 originally, lol, I would still be just as satisfied. I highly recommend this knob for anyone who want a lighter than stock knob and doesn't want tp pay $60+

lol

I installed my CorkSport shifter bushings today so I figured I'd give the knob a second try. This time around I'm very pleased and really enjoying the fact I feel more connected with the car. Coming from my previous car where the shifter was part of the transmission and not rod connected I can see why the heavier knob on that car didn't lose the feel of the transmission. Thumbs up in my book and I can't wait to feel it with the SSP next weekend.

Don't drink the heavy knob Kool-Aid.

The lighter knob, paired with a lighter counterweight, puts control of the shift mechanism back in your hand, and not at the whims of momentum.

Yep, that's exactly how I'm using mine.

lighter knob + solid shifter bushings + corksport counterweight = the way to go

It feels more...precise...like I control exactly where the shifter goes...like there's no "assumption" in my shifts. Much better Imo.

Default white on black

Well i got mine today & to my surprise...
20140627_174753.jpg
I ordered black & got white.
Overall it feels great for $22 bucks, just looks like a light bulb against a black interior. Its easy to see outta your peripheral though.

Just ordered one myself can't beat that price. I've read a few places it doesn't get that hot. Which would be awesome I have a arc titanium knob now and that thing is untouchable after a couple hours in the AZ heat

Well here's a recap from my last mishap... vendor quickly corrected the problem , & now I'm not so sure if the q ball was such a bad idea. Still pleased with the overall product, & now on to the shortcut & counterweight. Who knows, I may add the solid shift bushings too.

Got mine. Came in the right color and was shipped super fast. I have had it for about 6 days now and I actually love it. The biggest reason is that it doesn't get hot at all. It looks great, great fitment and as far as it being light not heavy I can't tell the difference in shifting.

The only downside is just getting used to the feeling of delrin. When you first open it up it definitely feels like plastic. Once installed it's hard to tell. There is a small point on the very top of mine I can feel but can't see. I thought that would drive me to putting on one of my old ones but after a couple days I don't notice it at all.

So in the end I feel like it was a great inexpensive buy. If you want to change up the look of your interior for not that much I'd definitely recommend this knob.

I just received mine. I think it smashes the stock knob. I have large hands, and this feels so much better to grip than the semi-cylindrically shaped stock knob. Shifts feel easier, too. It's a total win.

Lighter = better. You feel more of the transmission. Couple this with a shifter weight delete + MT90 and bcuz race car.

It's all about personal feel, I have this knob and never put it back on after two weeks of trying it out. I have a twm and like the heavier weight much better

What shifter setup is everyone using? I thought it felt like garbage until I pulled off my JBR SSP and did the shifter weight delete. Now I'm shifting buttery smooth and the light knob makes makes it quick.

Just installed mine on my 6 MPS.. Only complaint is that it doesnt screw all the way down on my boot, theres about a half inch gap. Simple fix with 4 washers under the boot and it sits perfectly. Coming from a heavy JBR I actually like it at the moment...

I am running it with the cs ssp and weight. I for sure like it better then my heavier knobs. I don't really race my car, but I definitely think it shifts just as smooth if not better

I have had the black one for about two months now. Definitely prefer it over stock because my hands are too big for that little leatherette stick. Much more comfy

I'm running the white one, with the Corksport shifter. It is exactly what I wanted. Pic for reference.

@Ozziemitch; it was brand new and very white, it is infact real.
@Bucker; I have the CS knob extended to the point where the shift boot was taught when in 5th or 6th gear. So I removed the collar and folded the boot over not ideal, but RACECAR.

Just got this knob and paired it with the JBR weight. Decided on this combo after trying the stock knob and stock weight delete, my shifts were much smoother but the shifter action felt like shit. This knob/weight combo retained that smooth shifting and now the action feels right on the money. If you're making real power, I could see this setup popping out of gear or lockout occurring, because it's so light. $45 really increased the enjoyment I get out of my car, nice.

I loved mine when I had it paired with a light shift counterweight. I just put a ton of stock parts back on the car last month and it was aggravating to use with the stock weight. The momentum of the heavier stock weight gave feedback through the lighter knob that I didn't like.

Thinking about installing one of these on my Miata. Does anyone know the max diameter? Wondering how it compares to the Cobb and Voodoo knobs (around 2" diameter)

I've got the Voodoo knob in my Miata and this knob sitting in a drawer. I think this Delrin knob is very slightly larger than the Voodoo. But that's just from memory, I'll get you measurements tomorrow.

The two knobs are basically the same diameter, and the Delrin knob is about 3/16" taller. Harbor Freight's finest digital caliper says the Delrin knob is 1.99", and the Voodoo is 1.96". Weight is 110g for the Delrin vs. 170g for the Voodoo.

I haven't tried the Delrin knob in my MSM, but I like the feel of Voodoo knob a lot. Except in July when it bakes up to 150 degrees in the sun.
