With an aftermarket TMIC will I see increased power in FL?

Hey everyone,

Happy Friday. I understand that an upgraded TMIC generally doesn't increase hp but I was wondering since I'm in Florida and it is super hot out would it be more beneficial for me than say someone in Seattle?

I understand a FMIC is better but I don't want to mess with my crash bar. The most I intend doing to this car is a BNR Stage 3 which I can run with an upgraded TMIC.

I will probably do meth as well seeing that there is no E85 around. I would need help with the install FL Nator :09:

You don't have to mess with your crash bar to get an FMIC, you will just have a smaller core. If you are planning on upgrading to BNR, you might want to get a FMIC. FL heat doesn't like TMIC. Neither will give you more "power" but lower BAT's are always more beneficial.

But if you absolutely don't want a FMIC you can always run a TMIC with methanol injection. And FYI, not sure where in FL you live, but here in the south there's plenty of E85.

Edit: Just saw you're in Sarasota. Nothing in there. Guess meth is your only choice. Make sure you get SnowPerformance, not DO.

I just saw the new Cobb FMIC and I think I fell in love.....lol! I might be breaking the credit card out for an early birthday present :fest30:

I hope Sarasota gets some E85 soon it sounds Awesome!

Yeah I was going to suggest that one as the best choice for non-crash bar modification ones. Although I went with the cp-e back when I had the car and it was great quality as well. But if you want to leave your crash bar alone, go with Cobb. Stay away from CS or CX Racing. Cheaper alternatives are the Treadstone cores with custom piping. I believe the TR8 fits with some crash bar cutting. The TR6 should fit fine.
