So how likely is it that your claim will be denied if you stock out before going, but you've reflashed with an AP?

If you gave them your name/VIN or they know who you are, chances are you're already flagged.

If you put everything back the way it was, you should have no problem. I've done it a couple of times. I uninstall my AP a few days before a dealer visit and put some miles and ignition cycles on the car so everything appears normal.

Dead on! Just have to make sure everything is back to stock so they have no reason to question anything. On mine, they just took some pictures and sent it to corp, an hour later I was approved for a new engine. lol

Sounds good. I'll probably only do intake, AP, and race pipe... there are a couple people that just posted results from the Dizzy tunes on another thread with just these mods. Both had around 310whp and 370-380tq. It's nice because that's a LOT of power for basically 2 bolt-ons that are easy to remove.

They can't void warranty as long as it falls in a specific category.

Example: <--just an example, get your dicks out of your asses, i know this is unlikely to happen.

if you install after market HID's.. and you're electrical system fails because your HID's decided it needs more power so it can haz brighter output.

Dealership, will have to have proof that whatever part of your electirical system that failed, like for example the alternator went bad because of the 'after market' HID part that you installed, then YES, they can say, we're denying you warranty replacement for that part. Otherwise, you can sue them if they say, "oh, we're not going to warranty the bannana peel in your engine because you have coil overs"

I always laugh when people bring up the Mag/Moss Act. Yes you can use the law to protect you, but who is going to get them to follow the law? This isn't a criminal matter, it is a civil matter. Meaning YOU would have to hire an attorney to bring litigation. That would likely cost you more than the repair. Yes you could try to get attorney fees as part of the settlement or judgement, but who really can afford to risk losing?

When I had my Spec V I had I/H/E/MM/P/S and other shit, but my dealership always did warranty work. Maybe because I bought A $50k Armada there too. But if I knew they would not have done the warranty work, and I couldnt find another dealership to do it, I would have returned my shit to stock if anything major would have happened.

so when you put miles on it and cycle the key what excatly does it do? remove all the data from the ap?

i hear lots of horror stories of going in for warrenty work, they send the comp to mazda USA ,and it comes back with diff paramaters and limitations caused by an AP and no more warrenty work.

true or false?

I would love to start modding my 3. I have about 4k mi on the car. I think I will wait. I really don't want to deal with fighting the dealer. Yes, I know that they have to prove what was wrong, but for the most part, they like to say no first. There's a lot more to it than we think. Mod friendly dealers are the way to go, but if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. If ya'll lived my life, you wouldn't mod the car too.

When warranty is up, watch out world!
