Just noticed these markings on my NuPu! I don't remember them on my 2010 something new? Warranty assurance? IDK discuss.

Thats part of it.

I also believe they are checked off for inspection.

Hyundais are marked similarly.

Those are paint marks made for quality control at the factory, to show they have been torqued to spec.

For checking torque is right, we do it on steel structures we build to mark off torqued bolts. Also use them to check to see if they move.

I add marks to anything I replace or fix for the reasons mentioned. Easy way to keep tabs on everything.
