Sweet kit. I have a maple Shine kit which is in a blue sparkle finish with a white stripe in the middle of each drum. I don't have any personal photos I could show you but I'm sure they're floating around somewhere. 18"x22" kick, 5.5"x14" snare, 9"x12" rack tom, 14"x14" floor tom, and a 16"x16" floor tom. As for cymbals, I have some vintage Zildjian A Rock Hats (heavy and awesome as hell yet very versatile), an 18" Zildjian A Custom crash (it's okay... I miss my collection of Sabian AAXplosion crashes before they all bit the dust), and a 21" Zildjian A Rock Ride (awesome versatility yet the bell sounds solid unlike other light rides).

1). Pull the feathers and stuff off that you don't need (everything but the breast)
2). You then take the breast and pull the meat off the bone. (it comes off in two halves)
3). Place a little cream cheese on each half of the meat (and a jalapeno if you like it spicy) and wrap it in a strip of bacon.
4). Grill to perfection (usually when bacon is cooked, the dove is also cooked just right)
5). Enjoy one of the best tasting meats you've ever had in your life.
6). Chew with caution as every great once in a while you will find a small metallic suprise in your meat...

You need at least 6 birds to make a meal but I like them best served as an appetizer with other stuff such as steak or venison.

Yeah they are pretty small. I usually go on a 3 day trip to west Texas and if I get my bag limit (15 birds) each day (usually do) I come home with 45 birds + whatever my friends that live there give me as extra. 60 birds will go a long way if you don't share... lol! But I always cook them as appetizers at cookouts and stuff so they never last very long

XLT_66 04-20-2011 07:40 AM

I live in Austin and am outside pretty much the entire time I'm away from the office.

I would say Mountain Biking would be #1, Wake Surfing #2, Road Biking #3, Camping/Backpacking #4, Sailing #5, Deer/Dove Hunting #6.

If I'm not doing that then I'm brewing beer or drinking beer or both.

Whew...no wonder my engineering job still leaves me broke.

Not really. I don't like 4 piece drum kits. They're weak. I play an 8 piece Pork pie kit with 15 cymbals and a remote hi hat. All mounted on a Gibraltar rack system.

4 piece drum kits are for old timers and emo bands.

A big drum kit shows you take your craft seriously.

Dove hunting rules!!

My first trip was at the tender age of 6. I shot 8 birds with a single shot 20 gauge child sized shotgun. Cleaned them and ate them right on the spot. That was also the first time I ever bit down on a shot pellet. Not fun. But, it is kind of cool eating something with your own ammunition still lodged in it. Kind of a savage feel to it.

I need to go again. I have a 28 gauge english field gun with a straight stock that needs firing. Plus, it's an excellent dove and quail gun.

Big_Burd 04-22-2011 02:30 PM

I've played the guitar since I was 8, so about 12 years. Used to be way into the heavy stuff now I only really pick up the Acoustic. I used to mountain bike but I ate shit way to much so I gave that up.

I also used to be way into RC cars when I was little, I had team associated T3,GT,and B4

I sold those and got into rc helicopters and had a Blade400,Trex250,450 and now I'm building a flybarless Trex 500 for any of you who know what those are.

Any of you heli guys care to post what your flying? I'm thinking about selling mine since their soooo much money, honestly comes a little too close too car modding as far as $$ go.

My biggest hobby
:loveweed:

I am a musician and have been much longer than I have been into cars. Been playing the drums for about 20 years, played brass in school, sing in various choir groups. Was in a half dozen bands or so through my teens and 20s. Now I'm old and am lucky if I get a few minutes a week sit down on the Roland kit.

Rockin a Priemier XPK acoustic kit and a Roland TD-7 & old school P-7 triggers. Gotta get me some V-drums one of these days:)

This is a cool thread. I collect Hot Wheels with my 6 yr old son. Build computers. Video Games PC,PS3, Wii. I used to Collect Star Wars Figures, but they cost so much any more. I quit about 2 yrs ago. Now I have a whole room full collecting dust. Oh, and the most important one of all: online Poker. Sucks to be me lately. Jonesing for my Full Tilt.

I have a friend that has over 6 digits in his online poker accounts, he plays for a living and he's so mad now cause he actually has to get off his ass and go to the casinos now.. Oh and not to mention they owe him all that money.

It's neat how we all like different things, but yet we're all drawn here because of one automobile.

It does look like alot of use can get together and mountain bike. I'm not very good (matter of fact I suck), but I'd show up at a MSF meet with my shitty bicycle.

Sometimes I fall sleep reading other thread/replies. This one kept me awake and interested in seeing what all other people are really like.

Thanks for replying ya'll!

I'm too short to play anything bigger than a 5-piece. And my brain is too stupid to process anything more than a 4-piece. So 4 it is!!!
