Default Any other hobbies?

Aside from being an MS3 fan, what else do you spend your money on other than mods?

I am into bow hunting. I do bird hunt too...just another hobby that sucks up my disposable income! This fall I'm going on an Elk hunt in Colorado! Good times!

Here are my kids and my latest deer:

I also am into Nitro R/C cars. I have a HPI Savage that has alot of hop-ups! It doesn't look nothing like what it did when I first took it out of the box.

So tell us, what else are you into?

All my big spending goes to my Genpoo but I do spend a little towards Street Luge. Going 60-65mph on a piece of plywood is not too expensive but it's fun as hell.

full time engineering student + job = my hobbies

still manage to get some drinking in - tried live oak hefeweizen today - delicious if you like wheats
pc gaming - no time for the competitive stuff anymore - used to do cod4 and SC2 tourneys
pc building/modding - see bbq in sig
been slacking on basketball since I started school again
I still try to make some time for running still - 2 mi in 15mins at least twice a week
I have managed to pick up a teeny bit of weight lifting for my skinny brown ass since my birthday

and my favorite semi-hobby - MSF

Can't wait to graduate and get real hobbies that aren't homework or projects

bbq for lazy mofos:

I've been drumming for nine years of my life, pretty much the whole time being involved with bands (all of them with my brother and a combination of other people) and the music community overall. Up until a couple years ago (no health insurance for a while until recently), I used to skateboard a lot. Also, although I can't afford to travel abroad or even to other faraway cities within the country just yet, I enjoy spending some weekends taking drives out of state because I hate being stuck in the same location all the time (touring with my band during the springs and summers helps this a lot). I actually just recently purchased a bike so I like to ride as far as I can on occasion and experience different places without having to be in a car.

Mountain and Road bike riding. And Photography, but that's a side business of mine, so really not "just" a hobby anymore. Into R/C trucks and heli's too. In fact, I am selling my HPI Baja 5T to get me some mod money for the MS3, lol

Play acoustic and electric guitar, beat my wife and curb stomp punk ass bitches for looking in my general direction. On occasion, I will hold up a gas station for a few spare coins. I also own a tank.

Photography takes the majority of my money.

Playing guitar coming up on 6 years now, but I'm a cheapass in that department.

Soccer, ballroom dance (don't laugh!) and I just recently picked up a mountain bike. So no extra for mods or the desire to.

this is a fun thread..

i love bouldering, it's what i spend most of my free time doing. just me and some rocks!

i will also sporadically participate in some gym jones inspired workouts with some friends. they hurt but are so intense they make me happy.

i also practice yoga because it feels so damned good..

and i used to collect records and dj, but since moving to arkansas and having child number 2, that has disappeared. and that's just fine..

edit: how could i forget? i start mtn biking this time of year. i have a handbuilt rigid steel frame i've been riding since 1994. oh yes, i am old school. (well, kinda. true old school would be riding a beefed up schwinn that i built in the late 80's)

next..

Off the top of my head....

drinking - I usually have a few good beers every weekend and sometimes during the week. I prefer hoppy beers - my favorite is Stone Ruination.

R/C stuff - I started with bulding an RC10GT when I was about 10 years old. I still have it today but nearly every part is upgraded. Its current engine has over 3 times the power of the old OS .12 CV. I also currently have an RC18T with an 8000kV brushless mamba system and 3C LiPO batteries, along with the remains of a Tamiya TL-01... Even with full bearings and a bunch of other upgrades it couldn't handle a high-power brushless system. At over 60mph something locked up and it literally exploded into about 100 pieces.
I also built a trainer R/C plane when I was 15. The recommended engine size was .32 to .40, so I figured a .61 ball bearing engine would be perfect. I still have it but don't ever get around to flying it.

mountain biking - I just upgraded to a GT Zaskar Pro. I'm waiting on a friend to get a new bike so I have an excuse to ride more often.

soccer - I'm on 2 teams that play every Sunday and I also do pick-up games on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

lifting - I have a curl bench, a power tower, a pair of U-90 PowerBlocks, and an incline/decline/flat bench press in my basement complete with full man size bars - none of that 35lb bullshit.

music (both playing and listening) - I have pretty decent audio setups both at my house and in my car. My primary instrument is the tenor sax but I'm also decent on the guitar and piano.

... and now I know why I don't have more time or cash

i do the music thing, as well. played drums in a band for 8 years before moving away. i've also been doing the solo thing for about 15 years now.

[SHAMELESS PLUG] here's my website: elocine [/SHAMELESS PLUG]

i do all my own recording, so i put together my own little studio setup:

$500 is a great price. i paid $700 and it was worth every penny. plus, yamaha kits are the only ones i've found that use triple-zone cymbal pads. the stock module samples are rubbish IMO. they're ok for messing around, but i wouldn't even think about recording with them. i just use the module as a MIDI interface to trigger the Superior Drummer VSTi on my computer. sounds A LOT better.

here's a sample. when i'm not recording my own stuff, i like to record covers:

dr_banano and SLOWHATCH like this.

I used to be a rock star (drumming).

Now, I just smoke a shit load of herb, play video games, and watch old episodes of Beavis and Butthead.

Skeurton nice Bjork cover, I dug it.

As for me I like to mod computers when I can these days, snowboard, and collect lowbrow artwork. I try to get it straight from the artist so it is one off stuff.

Computers, cars, writing, rendering (not creation just baking), masturbation, stalking, masturbating while stalking, and last but not least, bacon.

Bass Fishing, Guns, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, car shit, and trying to keep up with a 2 year old.

I want to try brewing my own beer next. My IPA habit is getting really expensive.

This has consumed my life for the past 20 years. I stopped competitively once my four years of college were up. I now coach and am hoping to jump on board of a collegiate team once my GA ends.

I am getting back into weight lifting, road cycling, and just overall fitness. I can't hop back on my mountain bike as it's completely flat where I live.

I also enjoy reading research articles regarding strength and conditioning; and, quite frankly, learning in general, especially about the physiological process' of the body.
