Is anyone able to indentify this downpipe?
 

so I finally got around to getting this thing off of my car and I'm curious as to if anyone can i.d. it for me. It's got no markings on it whatsoever, which leads me to believe it's an ebay special. however, as I have noticed, and have had it pointed out to me, the bellmouth looks a bit more reinforced than an ebay one. if anyone could shed some light on this for me, i would greatly appreciate it.

What happened to it? Other that the covering coming off of the flex part. Crack at the welds on the flange to the turbo?

I had that happen about 6 months ago with my OBX (had the TBE for about 2.5 years now), had a friend re-weld it, not a problem since.

well, nothing technically happened. i bought the car with this on it. and I don't have an AP yet. I'm lead to believe that the dealer flashed the car prior to me buying it with the DP still on there. So I finally got around to taking it off today and I'm in the middle of putting a stock one in. Although I'm having a hard time twisting the OEM DP back into place with all those horrid heat shields. Most likely, I'm going to replace that flex portion that's all thrashed and sell/trade it off.

Seems to me that you missed that whole part where he asked what kind of crack and where it was located since these things tend to crack in similar fashion and he had experience with that kind of thing. Additionally, you also missed the part where he provided the SOLUTION to that problem in case it was something similar.
