Anyone know if this turbo is worth buying in this shape ?
 

It's for sale locally, nice price, but the seller says =" This turbo has a Garrett center section which I don't believe belongs with the turbo. it was only able to make 8 pounds of boost on my car before we ended up switching it out with a new turbo. It could be used for parts or someone could make it work for them. "

Anyone know anything useful about this? Would it be worth buying and then just having it rebuilt and using it? Pics attached

Depends if they want $5 or $500. How much they want could help people confirm if good or bad deal.

I put $400 in the sub genre thing. I was thinking about buying a bnrs3 in a week or two, even if this is shit couldn't it be rebuilt and wind up costing the same amount as the bnr?

I asked and he was not sure, but thinks it might have been his 3port acting up because he changed it and the turbo at the same time.


On a side not, anyone know a ballpark what I would be looking at to get it rebuilt if I took a chance on it? Or should I just go the bnrs3 route.
