I really want this lip but I scrape on the driveway already. Do you think the way it is mounted that it would tolerate scraping. I don't care if the bottom get scraped, I care more about it ripping off and taking part of the bumper with it.

If you are taking driveways at an angle and scraping already then you probably won't have the lip very long...

I'm at stock height and I've learned that there are certain places I need to avoid. Although the lip has been scraped a few times and held up, it would wear down pretty quick if it was a constant thing.

Honestly, although I do love how the lip makes the front end of the Genpu look - it's turned out to be a bit of a pain in the ass. Here in Norcal I've found that I have to avoid half the parking lots I find and street parking has become the norm since I can't usually get into them unless the entrance/exit is wide enough for me to take it at a wide angle. I can't imagine a car with anything but stock ride height really getting away with this unless they simply avoid every single speed bump/incline/driveway they come across.

Wow that is a pain in the ass, I could make them out of 6061 aluminum .090 thickness if someone would get me some CAD measurements. They would hold up better and be fairly light, not carbon light but, not an anchor and paintable. Anyone .....Buler.

FWIW I broke one of these lips simply trying to make it into a car wash, at stock height. The tracks the tires run along broke the lip; even though apparently the 'owners' z06 can go through no problem.

Because only 1-2 people on the entire forum have this and they're not gonna go through the hassle of taking off their bumper just for measurements. When all you need to do is contact APR.

Actually we have a guy up here @chasewiese;

Basically we took my bumper off and he traced it with ABS plastic and went to autozone, bought some door bumper guard and ebay carbon fiber wrap. Probably cost a total of $70 to make.

Yeah, I did not know if i was going to keep it so i did not drill it out. I also did it at a friends house and did not have access to a drill for the install.

Here is the lip that we are making that fits the speed3 2nd gen and covers all the way back to the oil filter, all hardware included, price, specs and everything else will be released shortly once the website is up and running

We'll be selling them, it's identical to the APR splitter but not 100% the same, only reason we haven't released the product and started taking orders yet is because the website is still in work! If you'd like more details PM me

40 for the sheet of abs plastic, 40 for the carbon vinyl, 15 to get it water jet cut and that's after you pay 250 for the cad drawing, 5 for hardware, 12 for trim around the front edge, you do the math of how much I spend on each splitter, but as usual people will talk shit but I didn't just take a razor blade to some plastic and say it's $200!!!

For that price it should be real carbon fiber. Don't get me wrong I like it, it looks good, but I could never justify myself to spend that much on vinyl wrapped plastic. But hey, im sure some people will.
