bad noises during acceleration

ok, so i like to drive spirited, and after 4 months my car was getting too familiar so i decided to install this corksport intake with inlet pipe because everyone runs it.

i thought this was a small upgrade it's only $250 but it took me 7 hours to install it and now my car sounds bad, like it's wheezing when i accellerate, even when i only use half throttle it makes this bad noise

do i need to chec my clamps or tubes??

dooderek 04-08-2012 02:18 AM

check your tmic pump, might need adjustment

2010Speed3 04-08-2012 02:36 AM

Wait do you know how your turbo is supposed to sound with a metal turbo inlet pipe+intake? You should be hearing the spool up, which I believe is what you're freaking out about. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't hear anything else other than the spool.

You weren't supposed to tell him anything.

We wanted him to tool around in his engine bay for hours fixing the TMIC pump setting.

Sid3wayS 04-08-2012 05:18 AM

:eek2:7 hours installing an intake...
In before week long dp install.

G26 04-08-2012 05:49 AM

lol @ op.

kritz 04-08-2012 06:00 AM

Dude, I think you might have a MPS3( Australian Speed3 ) Turbo, it might be rotating the wrong way like their toilets. I've heard of these turbos being put on the wrong shelf at the factory.

predapio 04-08-2012 06:43 AM

Yep, pu owner.

p057 04-08-2012 07:10 AM

7 hours to put on an intake?
"weird" noise after changing pipe design, flow, and material? :dunce:

You should not do any other mods because they ALL CHANGE THE FEEL/DRIVING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CAR. :smashfreakB:

boosted_out 04-08-2012 08:25 AM

OP must be fucking with us, having a hard time believing he's actually serious?

emag remrofni 04-08-2012 08:56 AM

I'm not sure what else can be said. OP is a moron. I mean how can you possibly spend seven hours on an intake install??

Pu Manchu 04-08-2012 04:46 PM

my car feels slower than it was before the intake and pipe and now i'm nervous to drive it. if i take the day off work tomorrow and take it to the dealership can they put my stock stuff back on with my warranty? i don't think i should work on the car
