Becoming a New Speed 3 owner soon! Just ordered some parts
 

Just sold my wrx.. And I guess I am moving to a new gen 2 speed 3.. Well not new but a 2012 or 2013 used..

I have already ordered some parts this autoexe turbo suction kit already came in the mail. I also ordered JDM M'z sideskirts, rear wing add on, and rear bumper piece the real ones.. I didn't get the front because I don't know if im gonna go AUTOEXE front bumper or M'z lip.

Anyway Im looking at exhaust. I liked the Corksport a lot on my speed 6 but Im hesistant on pulling it for the speed 3.. I have been looking and looking at ark, Corksport, Ultimate, HKS, greddy, CPE... Hands down Corksport to me sounds the best however I like the Tips of ARK because they actually fill up the void. Then again the ARK doesn't look like it fits too easy to make even without modifying the hangers. At least according to people online.. The Greddy Looks absolutely perfect in the rear and the tips don't hang down etc.
BUT ITS SO DAMM QUIET.. I don't know if I could handle it being that quiet.. Im sure I could add a TP or a downpipe and it would help some but im not sure. The Elite sounds really good on other cars that are catless. I just have never heard it on a Speed3 catless. And I cant find anybody that has it in person.

Oh well I was just wondering what you guys thought about the Greddy exhaust its 70mm which is 2.75 inch decent size. I don't plan on trying to make a lot of power just the simple boltons.. Suspension pieces wheels etc.

Anyway hope to post pics of my new ride in a week or two if I can find one I like.

WTF is a turbo Suction Kit??? ALso I didn't know we had JDM side skirts.

Upgraded charge pipe between the intercooler and throttle body.. Smoother/better flow. Costs about 450 shipped

I had one on my MS6 too see the piece between the intercooler and Throttlebody

U paid 450 for a charge pipe which is about 8 inches? From intercooler to throttle body ?

Yea I meant that pipe.... Its wrinkle coated red too :).. And yea its expensive I guess for what it is, but I like it.

You must have a baller status job to afford this shit I mean come on really $120 for a pair of autoEXE wiper blades, those fuckers better never ever wear the fuck out.

I went on Street units site and looked at there prices, fuck that, there are plenty of vendors on here that make parts for us that are great products, and we dont have to worry about spending more $$$$ cause a fucking part says JDM

Actually when I had my speed 6 I worked at Wal-mart PT . It took me 2 years to get it that way.. I just sold my wrx and most of that money is going to my new speed 3.. So that's where a lot of the mod money is coming from.

And yea that lip on my speed 6 was over 1100 shipped.. handmade CF autoexe. The rear apron was expensive too.. I know there are a lot of quality parts out there made here.. But Again certain things you cant get here like that charge pipe. If somebody offered one here I might of bought it.

Yea Netmod offers the M'z style kit.. However they don't offer the M'z rear wing add on. So you have to get it from an importer. But I checked the prices and next mod wasn't that much cheaper than the JDM stuff. Only difference really is shipping for me of course it costs more to ship.

I bought most of my autoexe stuff on my 6 through Corksport when they offered it...

The only Engine performance mods im gonna do at first is the charge pipe I bought, an ETS TOP Mount haven't decided if I want the red one or just the plain silver.. And probably greddy elite exhaust with corksport TP no cat.

And a Defi boost gauge of course. The next round around Christmas will be Corksport Inlet and intake with Cold air box.. And Either JBR battery kit or Corkskport battery kit. And a HKS SSQV IV kit as well. But im gonna focus on the suspension After this.. All the GT spec braces and a couple of Autoexe ones. The front strut tower bar and rear floor cross bar from autoexe for sure.

Im trying to get the big expenditures out of the way while I have the money..

Last thing I will do is probably wheels and lowering/speaker upgrades etc.

CNT makes good bang for your buck exhaust. You can get full three inch DP and catback for around $700.00 I have been running both for about 30k miles with no problems. And it sounds great too.

PS- skip the autoexe shit way to over priced for what it is.

Yea as far as exhaust I wanted something closer to home and cheaper.. No way I would pay that much for the Autoexe exhaust for one the piping is small as hell and secondly its only a axleback I believe. Ridiculous in my mind.

I looked at CNT too. What size are the tips? Are they even? Did you have a fitment issue etc?

Also I really don't want to do a DP yet that's why I looked at the corkspot TP and Greddy spectrum elite exhaust. But As I stated I have owned Corksport before and I love the way it sounds I just didn't like the back of it on some of the cars I have seen online. But on some it looks bad azz but on others it doesn't.. > Guess im just being too picky..

Oh and I don't race my car the mods aren't gonna be put on for me to go dyno it and race it. I just want to drive it around etc have a decent car.

tips are 4 inch they seem even to me. No fitment issues just getting the bellmouth part of DP on is a pain you have to do Lots of 1/4 turns. Complete opposite for me I just wanted a DP but the exhaust was so cheap i just got both. Only one pipe gets soot in it must be their design and it only flows out one tip mostly.

Oh I plan on getting a CPE pump but later.. Again I don't race so there wouldn't be an issue with pressure drop because I wouldn't be in the gas for it to happen. Unless it happen just by driving normal lol.

But all things will be considered moving forward.. I realize the Newer speed 3s are supposedly more sensitive than the older cars.. My 6 didn't require an HPFP pump with the mods I had and I realize the new speed 3 is different. So I will take that into account

My wrx had 17x9 et45 rpf1s that fit on H&R coilovers and I actually have a 2 finger gap front and rear.
I would never roll a fender to fit a wheel. I have nothing against it. That's just not me.

I honestly wanted to know if anybody had heard one with Greddy SE exhaust that had a TP or was catless.. But I guess there isn't one. I will check out that CNT exhaust though thanks again.

Honestly don't think your going to last long here.

You say you don't race, but your getting all this chassis bracing? And a new TMIC, but no intake? Your modding is all over the place.

If you do stay here, your going to swap to one of two possibilities: your going to re-analyze your mod path, and change over to the function>form mentality, or you will lurk here and not post much, as most don't agree with 99%of what you have done already and you will continue to get flamed.

Mazda24/7 is much more visually oriented.

The only mods I listed that were visual were the body parts.. Aesthetics I mean. But I understand what your saying.. I'm going to do the same mod path I did on my Speed 6 basically. Except the 3 has a lot more suspension mods I can do which is cool.

And specifically I was asking about the exhaust originally. But it went wild lol.

The Autoexe turbo suction pipe kit is a decent mod.. I mean you might not agree with the cost but its a functional part. Again I'm doing it in stages so it'll come together slowly..

Wheel wise I'm going to go with the same bronze nurburgrings probably.. Suspension lowering wise I'm either going to go Autoexe springs/H&R sport or H&R coilovers..

Again that will probably be the last mod I do. With my WRX too lowering was like the last thing I did. Again thanks though :)

Basically the Subaru was gifted to me bone stock.. I don't like subarus really, never have. But since I had it I figured I would fix it up. I owned it and the speed 6 at the same time then sold the 6 because I hardly drove it at the time I was driving the wrx more. And ended up doing what you see there with it.

Anyway I decided I wanted something newer and I really liked the motor in the speed 6 so I figured I would go with a newer speed 3. I also thought about getting an SUV cx-7/rav4/etc.. But in the end chose the newer speed 3.

AUTOEXE Charge Pipe
 

Hey, any additional pics of that charge pipe or install issues or hiccups you ran into? Thinking about picking this up for my self. Also in reference to the 1/4pt hole, is that for a bolt or meth injection? Cant find anything on the interwebz about it but it looks like its for 1 of the bolts! Thank you for the help!

For the price of that pipe I built an entire FMIC setup. Why even bother?

I like the look and the fact that it functions better than oem. I have an upgraded TMIC and i intend on keeping it so i figured why not!

Congrats for having that kind of expendable monies, it's definitely something I couldn't justify.
