Bent Sub-frame?

1 Attachment(s)
I just saw something in a photo I took this weekend that's got me pretty concerned and I'm hoping I can get an answer here rather than wait until the weekend to have time to check against the other side myself.

In the attached image just to the left of the red line...is that how this part of the sub-frame is supposed to look? This looks an awful lot like damage to me and considering this is the corner of the car which was hit in December...*sigh*. The wheel took the brunt of the hit in this accident to the point they had to replace that strut due to it being bent.

Car seems to drive fine and they were able to align the car to my specs just fine but I have been chasing a front suspension noise for months now and wondering if this could be the cause.

It really really hasn't. This is one of those times where you start thinking about stocking out and getting out of the mod game. lol

FYI, just to save someone the trouble, if you're feeling generous to check your subframe in comparison for me, don't waste the time unless you have a Gen2. I've been scouring the web for a good photo and have learned that the Gen1 subframe is different.

Someone here with a GenPu needs to go pop off a wheel and snap a good pic!

It does not look bad to me, but I am probably wrong.

It's really hard to tell from the photos I'm finding...because they are all from bad angles or were taken with a potato. lol

I can take a pic for you, but it would not be until tomorrow afternoon after work. I need to check my swaybar/endlinks anyways. If that works let me know.

If it makes you feel any better I can't check my car for you since its at the body shop. I got caught in the hail last week, the adjuster counted 143 dents and the hatch window is broken. I have no hope that the car won't be completely fucked up when they try to give it back to me.

That would be awesome since you have to get in there anyway. Thanks!

@Raider; when's my shit going to be green again? I just donated...chop chop! :) EDIT: Nevermind...the interwebz of tubes caught up with me.

Damn man, didn't know we had that kind of hail in the area last week...especially big enough to bust out a window! Hopefully you get a good shop.

I've got 40 some dents from hail but I'm lazy and haven't gotten a claim set yet. Only two are really bad and noticeable. My hatch window is not broken though.

These pics aren't at the best angles for comparing (and are of the other side), but might help in the meantime (before someone with a Pu can take better pics):

At first I was like "why is this Gen1 so clean?" Then I remembered. Oh, that is all new.

I took a photo of my 2012 on lunch and it looks just like yours so you are ok. I will load the pics as soon as I can send it to my email to down load.

I didn't pull the wheel, but from what I can see with a flashlight, it looks just like mine.

Much appreciated man! That's a weight off my shoulders.

Sorry for derailing the thread.
Mind if I ask where you got those beefy endlinks?
It's shaped like Corksport's, but the logo looks like it says something else

Nope, those are CorkSports adjustable endlinks.

I'm assuming you don't need pictures anymore, but if you do let me know.

Nah, I'm good. A couple of the pictures he took clearly showed the same visual effect on his subframe. After feeling around with my hand this morning, I think it's more a trick of the camera then an actual zigzag bend but seeing that his was the same as mine, I can rest easy.
