Up to you, but as Bucker mentioned, it is an idle trim, so you can either let the ecu do the work for you or: 0-5.7 g/s is the range that you want to make the correction in. You can highlight those values (not voltage) in this case, and multiply (press the m key) by the appropiate corrective value. |
sooo did this thread just kinda fizzle out? dont leave me on a cliff hanger i wanna know what happens!! |

Lighter wheels and tires are absolutely a power gain. The correct answer to the original question is to LOSE WEIGHT A gutted Honda CRX w 600hp will run 8s all day. |
Been raining last 2 days, today was the first chance I could get some new logs to @rfinkle2. In addition I have decided to not post any more updates in this thread until the tune is finished and I get on the dyno. Once I have true results ill post it up. Until then everyone will have to be patient. Look for results in about a week or so. I don't want to participate in the drama anymore. |

It won't fizzle, I will post up the results when all is done. It's looking great so far. I can handle the tough love of MSF, and it isnt really this thread here that's getting on my nerves. Idiots are hijacking other threads and talking shit, and I've even got some PM's. Gettin' kinda out of hand with the keyboard warriors. @phate @Bucker @Dano - Thanks for all the help and useful tips guys. It's very much appreciated. I'm getting along pretty well in ATR now, and I understand my car a lot better than I did before. @rfinkle2 - Thanks again man for going through this with me, maybe one day I'll understand tuning half as well as you and be able to help out future members :) |
I'm still gonna do the dyno after me and @rfinkle2 get everything finished being dialed in, but I already know the outcome. With the current revision I received from him my butt dyno is telling me the car is pulling harder than it used to. I have no doubts the AP tune will surpass my old Pisaini tune. |
1 Attachment(s) Just wanted to post a quick update on what we are looking at on version 5 :) No E85 here.. just 93 octane pump gas. 342 WHP / 417 Torque! EDIT: For those that want numbers on the 1.01 correction factor it's showing 317/387 @rfinkle2 Your the man! |
those numbers still blow my mind since no e85 and stock turbo. i did notice smoothing is set to 2, but that's not going to make the numbers much different. good stuff, curious to see the final results! |
Getting blue balls waiting for results :wank: Can't wait to see them! |
I think I'm ready to dyno. Gonna call around tomorrow and find a dyno shop that's got a high powered fan to simulate actual driving conditions for turbo cars. The last shop I went to last year was a muscle car place and they were like.... "Why do you need a fan on the intercooler? We usually pop the hood and put a fan under the car to help cool the engine" .... idiots. I think I may have to drive to Austin to get on a proper Dyno. Will start calling around on Monday. |
seriously, make sure they have a fan right on top of it. the place i went to didn't for the first run but it was okay because it was just the first one. however, the second run, i lost 40hp. lol my BATs were ~150* so then they put a fan directly over the TMIC and the last two pulls were back in the correct range and my BATs were where they should be. given you said on CF = 1.01 it put 317/387 on VD, and the likelihood they will be using smoothing 3 or 5 (your VD has it set to 2), i expect your numbers will be ~300/350 |
