We also had a guy there who knows his stuff who actually started making maf relocation kits for our msms, which actually made the reading of air more accurate when it came down to fueling as well as to be able to run full vta if you wanted without problems of the already metered air being calculated for.

Been there tried that... It didn't work so well for me.

I've been running VTA now for half a year with basically 0 problems

Lol you can call bs all you want... I owned an msm as well as have talked to others about it and their cars all do the same while doin full vta.... its a known fact for those cars. I should know, I owned one and was fully bolted and made heavy use of our forum. Hell you can even go talk to joe on there who makes the kits himself, you could say he isn't a "brownie" when it comes to cars and turbos especially msms. But hey man I ain't here to argue nor am I going because that's the kinda childish stuff we are trying to tone down.. all I wanted to do is express a similar vta issue that I've experienced. Coming from a msm which is a completely different car into a ms3 and being on this forum which sorta reminds me of www.mazda-speed.com. This place is awesome, and ive been loving every minute since I've been here.

I'm running Joe's maf relocate kit atm. He was remaking me pipes at first to get the fitment just right, while it was off, I had to run in full VTA. Did that for about a week or 2. No idle issues, just really loud woosh noises even when letting off the gas at 3k rpms. I also back fired more. Even now running full recirc, people are surprised how loud my woosh noises are, and think I'm running VTA.

While runnin 50 50 runs perfectly fine.. when I went to see how it ran/sounded with full vta at idle it would stumble a bit. As soon as I switched it back, didn't do it anymore. But joes kits pretty good tho.

Joe's kit was great ONCE he got it right. Let him choose a bpv + cone filter for you, or mail him the ones you want to use, and the kit will fit out the box. Otherwise, you'll go through 2 revisions like me to get the fitment right.

Haha. Joe is one of our kinda gurus and techinical guys over on the mazdaspeed mx-5 forum. Pretty technical with those cars and cars in general. He also builds pretty nice full maf relocation kits out of his house, which moved it closer to the throttle body which meant if you also wanted to run full vta you could with 0 problems.

hey guys, my car wont move no matter what i do...someone said its because it has no tires, but i am pretty sure it is because i didn't install a BPV or BOV and get the pssssssssssshhhhh shhhhh sh sh sh sh pshhhhhhh psh shpshp shpshp shpsh....DAMN IT TO HELL!

oops sorry, the answer is spend your money on other stuff and not a BPV. start small, go from there. sounds like you just want to sound awesome for the ladies at the fast and furious 6 movie that will inevitably come, but slow your role kemosabe, there is other options for awesomeness out there that won't frack your car! o, and search is your friend it helps A LOT! if you are new to cars all together search this forum AND...dun dun dun....GOOOOOOGGGGGLLLLLLEEEE. ahem, google. it may be skynet, but it rocks.

OP. Turbosmart Dual Port. Blow off is kinda loud, but keeps your MAF somewhat happy.

Note that there is NO performance benefit with a blow off valve if yours isn't leaking, and yours isn't leaking. It will make your car drive less than perfect, and you will get the occasional backfire (afterfire). If the tradeoff is worth it to you for some woosh sounds, go for it.

To the others; it's his money, let him do what he wants.

it may be only a few HP, but the exhaust is a performance gain. running VTA, on the other hand, will NEVER be a gain in performance.

Even when I had the msm... the stock bpv valve that looks identical but just a tad smaller to our ms3's was very well known for leaking.
