Long story short. It's a local tuner who has blown at least 3 MS3 engines and blames it on other things (said one went 160mph too many times). He still is tuning some speeds, which is the sad part.

Jesus man, sucks for that guy. Not as good as the in car eclipse explosion as it races a BMW. That one stands alone. Sounds like this tuner needs a couch fucking.

Wow that sucks, but it's just as much the owners fault for not going with a reputable tuner.

As of now I have seen more tuned motors blow than non tuned... But they will still blow either way.. Sad stuff :(

And I have seen reputable tuners still lose cars.. Its a risk no tune will save you from a variable of factors possibly. And of course some tuners are 1000x better than others to.

RIP motor. It also sounded like it happened at a point between shifts? Like it missed a gear or something maybe. Eh oh well hard to tell just from grainy youtube video

Groaned you, but removed it because you're wrong but you're right. You SHOULD have said "improperly tuned" versus "tuned." And untuned motors blow almost as often as improperly tuned. Rarely will a properly tuned motor let go.

Its semantics.. We can play hindsight and say every time a tuned car blows say its a bad tune. I don't know any tuner that hasn't had a motor blow unless they just opened up and haven't experienced it yet.

And if they haven't its only a matter of time. I guess that's where they live and learn to get better. That's what its all about if you race really. You have to pay to play

But yea a poor tune is the %$%$.. A proper tune will last longer and is the way to go. That's why its important to realize you get what you pay for half the time and some tuners are better than others with certain cars

Nah it will buff out. You need some of that V-max shit they advertise. It cures knock according to the commercial. I think if you soak the engine in that shit for a week or so, the block will heal itself.
