Broke vacuum inlet on BVP So doing something stupid :chairshot: the plastic inlet on stock BVP broke off. I have a new BVP coming in 2 days. Is it okay to drive the car with no vacuum to the BVP or am I without a car for 2 days ? |
It's not needed just there to make cool sounds. Carry on................... |
I would not drive a car without a functional bpv, hello compressor surge Edit the stock type are push valves not pull. |
Yeah Issue is I am stuck at work 20 miles form home. Wondering if it would be fine to drive it home if I stay out of boost. |
JB weld for the win |
Love working in the office full of gear heads was able to source quick set jb weld and a male to male vacuum connector |

P.S. placed an order with you guys form a Turbosmart BPV this morning :147: |
Even with the "fix" stay out of boost best you can and drive as little as possible. |
1 Attachment(s) Yeah gonna stay of boost for next 2 days teal the Turbosmart comes in. Came out pretty decent for ghetto rigging. |
that actually looks pretty good :) |
Just for future reference, you must have that vacuum line attached no matter what. Do not attempt to drive the car without it. |

I know the car threw a P0171 code and cut the boost to safe mode. But I did not discover the broken vacuum line till i got to the office  |

As stated earlier, you'll get really bad compressor surge if that line is not connected. |
