probably too much, but i factored it into buying the car. With dogs, i had no choice.
Including redoing front seats and the leather on all seats and getting to keep my original seat coverings (which i will sell) was 1500.
i got dealer pricing from my buddy.
Katzkin isn't cheap and to pull my interior to do it myself in Winter was not going to happen. As they did an amazing job on my truck, i let them do it all on the car.

You didn't get a good deal. We re paying 950 to have leather put in a cx-5 and they are doing the doors arm rest etc.

Ok looks like I am a far better negotiator then. Better luck next time. No need to be pissy about it.

pissy? Do you know that this dos not denote anything negative as a reply?

far better negotiator?
apples to oranges. In my area 1400 is as low as it gets. i paid 100 less than what a Dealership pays for the same service, but i also had the front seats rebuilt with added foam to change the seat entirely from stock. That is not included for dealerships.
So, basically it sucks for me to pay so much even at a great price compared to where you live.

Well, I'm 6' 220lbs, and this is easily one of the most comfortable cars I've owned. I was able to find a comfortable position faster in this car than any I have driven before. For me, it is as comfortable, or perhaps more so, than the 2004 VW Touareg SUV I traded for it. The lack of lumbar support doesn't bother me in the least.

Also, I found the clutch touchy when new, but with 13k miles on it now, it has broken in/I've gotten used to it. It is very light, though. Anyone who thinks it's heavy doesn't really have much experience with a wide gamut of manual transmissions, IMO (or perhaps should stop skipping leg day at the gym).
