Default Can't use CS BSD kit on stock block engine?

I'm just starting a build and intended to go with a CorkSport Balance Shaft Delete Kit. I notice they state that the kit is "NOT RECOMMENDED FOR STOCK BLOCK ENGINES". Anyone know why that might be? I'd shout them but they're on the west coast and don't open for several hours. Thanks.

I'm not seeing where it says not for stock blocks, just that NVH will be increased. You should be fine on a stock engine, but why do you want to remove it?

The main reason I used it was I went with studs on the main and the balance shaft assembly only works when using main bolts.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZTrpfqfA-w at the tail end of this video, 1:38 min/seconds into it. Bottom of a big blue screen.

I intended to remove it for the weight (18ish lbs.) and moving weight factors. From what I've read, it allows the engine to take it's revs quicker.

Could you explain this " The main reason I used it was I went with studs on the main and the balance shaft assembly only works when using main bolts", a little more for me. This is beyond my pay grade which is why it's going to an engine shop.

I just got off the phone with a CorkSport rep. He says they use the expression "stock block" to refer to any engine that hasn't been modified internally. For instance, if you've changed rods and/or pistons etc. then they no longer consider that to be a stock block. That isn't my understanding of a stock block but that did explain what they meant.

Now I'm trying to figure out what the earlier post by shamie" meant where he says it doesn't work with studs, only main bolts. "shamie", can you clarify that please. Thanks.

I'm going with main bolts on my build. I'm guessing length differences on the main studs makes them a no-go with the BSD kit.

i went with main studs, since its reusable vs tty bolts for main bolt when i removed mines. dont really see why you cant use it with tty bolts tho, it doesnt interfere, unless i could be wrong.

I used Studs on mine and had them shortened so the balance shaft could still be fitted.

The studs, as they came from ARP, were too long for the BS - and I wasn't interested in shortening them.

I'm having the engine balanced and am hoping that'll help off-set the vibration. I've already got fairly stiff motor mounts so ... fingers crossed.

yeah i got mines balance too, but with stiffer mounts you will feel alot of vibes. mostly under 3500rpm, above that, all mirrors are usable.
although most people say they cant feel any difference on faster rpm, i felt mine with ACT light weight flywheel, pretty sure with fidanza 11lbs flywheel its faster to go up RPM tho

BSD+lightweight flywheel= good combo
