CNT Cat Back Exhaust

2 Attachment(s)
About one year ago I purchased the CNT catback exhaust. The welds and bends are good. The fitment of it was okay. I wish I had my shop built already so working underneath the MS3 was easier.

The only issue I had was one of the exhaust hangers was too long so I had to cut it to size. The rattling was expected going up in diameter but I ordered some stiffer exhaust hangers in hopes to eliminate the rattling.

Here are some pictures of it before the install. Ill get some more in a few weeks, still overseas at the time.

Questions or comments welcome.

I am running their full exhaust on my Gen 1, CBE only for about 4 years now. Not a single problem.

Right on, I ordered their catted down pipe about 4 weeks ago, dang thing is still on back order, but it gave me a little more time to get my HPFP internals.

Yeah, I asked what the ETA was on the catted downpipe, freaking 8-10 weeks!

I ordered my CNT downpipe July 25th and it still hasn't shipped. It should arrive the same day I get back to the states. Early Xmas gift from me to me!

Yea no kidding, ive been doing my research and watching some videos so hopefully i can tackle this task without any major issues. i still have to order a O2 sensor socket..

I used multiple threads:

This thread really helped since he pictures the wobble joints he had. I went and purchased the same from Harbor Freight and it made things alot easier using an impact.

Also remember to remove your upper o2 sensor while it is hot. Alot of people have success with this method. I removed while it was cold and it destroyed the threads.

PB blaster is definitely your friend as you're already aware of I am sure, soak them bitches overnight and wear gloves.

Good luck

Good tips, Ill have to stop by Harbor Freight when I get home. Ill pick up an assortment of wobble sockets.

Yea I was wondering how tough the O2 sensors were going to be to remove. Ill prolly end up getting some new ones just in case I screw up the threads..

A new primary o2 will run you almost $200 bucks, so I would try not to fck it up lol

LED_Vera 09-03-2014 10:39 AM
