cobb so this is the second time now that i've left my cobb plugged in over night and my battery has been completely drained. has anyone else had this problem? also just an fyi to people who have cobb so they don't leave it plugged in like me lol |
|
haha. you would think spending 600 dollars on a product that if you left it plugged in it would have a shut off when the car was off. in b4...gtfo with this thread. |
I actually wish that it turned off with the car would make life a lil easier. |
I've left mine plugged in over night and it hasn't drained the battery yet. Not saying it won't eventually get me though... |

Unplug your AP's Regardless of it draining batteries, people have had their AP's ruined by having the image burned on the screen. Enjoy forking out another $500 due to ignorance @everyone who leaves it plugged in.. |
That's why I don't leave mine in the car when I'm not in there (even if I'm just running in a store for a minute). I take it with me whenever I get out. I have heard of issues of leaving it plugged in over a long period of time with the car shut off. Plus I have heard of the image being burned on the screen issue, as well as people having theirs stolen. More of incentive to not leave it plugged in or even in the car when you're not in it. |
Also, keep in mind you're leaving a $500 device visible to the public. While most people don't know that such a small plastic device is worth more than 2 PS3 consoles, you're still risking it being seen by that one ricer thief who dreams of replacing his HyperTech with the almighty AP. People will break windows for a $100 iPod, so the AP is not an exception. I always leave mine inside the center compartment or at home. |
Another classic retarded thread by I heart hatred. How you are allowed to drive a car baffled me. You have as much common sense as a woman. |
I never leave my AP plugged in, or in plain sight when i'm not in the car. My ultra gauge though stays plugged in all the time, as it goes on/off with the car. |

since you already made this pointless ass thread, might as well turn it into something semi useful. @cobbtuning Considering that the AP is light as fuck, feels cheap as fuck, and has a shitty ass screen, And on top of all that you have to unplug it for it to turn off? I'm sure it costs you guys about $5 to make the product itself, (yes i know research and all that shit costs money). I mean your already making bank off us, can't you just spend some of that profit to find a quick and easy way for the AP to turn off when the car goes off? You guys have excellent customer service and all your other products are top notch quality. But you can find a $30 cellphone with a better screen than the AP screen, id expect a lil better from such a expensive product. P.S I love my AP and what it does to our motors is awesome, but the device itself needs some work. |

Wow this thread....and its not called "COBB" its called an Accessport made by Cobb..i would like the 2 minutes of my life back |
blue spring, no shims. |
lol i made it as a point to cobb that maybe it needs to be changed. also for all the other who don't know yet or are waiting for cobb. this isn't a pointless you cunt muffins. |
if you leave your AP on it will drain the battery. if you leave your cell phone charging it will drain the battery. if you leave the lights on it will drain the battery. don't expect mazda, apple, cobb to protect YOU from YOU. sometimes you have to think. and also, some of the APs functions, like when you're changing tunes, occur while the car is turned off. so if you turned the car off during the end of the map swap, and the AP turned off, well, that wouldn't work very well now would it? |
Too much hurp durp in this thread. |
Buy a dashhawk. Problem solved. I only have AP when i'm trying to improve my map by taking logs. |

Clearly if you leave ur lights on ur a moron, theres no reason to leave your phone charging in your car over night, but you plug the AP in daily and have to uplug it daily. :bryce: and let me troll |
No dashhawk for the gen 2. Only way to monitor kr is the AP |
