Is the ap for genpu same as for genone?

There is a guy selling an ap but he claims its only for mazdaspeed 07-09. Im not sure and im really looking for an ap. can u guys gimme some feedback

Ps: i know it might be a question thats been answered but tried searching and couldnt find it(i didnt search too deep) im just kind of in a rush and would like to get an ap asap.

yes it will work fine. People who upgrade their genones to gen2s often keep their APs.

You've gotten the answer to your compatibility question already...

Another important aspect you should concern yourself with: If you plan on buying a used AP make sure you verify it has been unmarried from whatever vehicle it had been used with prior. If it hasn't, congratulations, you've just bought yourself an expensive paperweight.

If it's unmarried, it will show a screen/menu/something at all the says "install," implying that it hasn't been "married" to a car currently. If it is married there will be no such screen/menu saying "install," so basically what you want to see a pic of this screen/menu.

You could've learned this for yourself by reading the sticky in the For Sale section regarding sales of Accessports, as far as I remember

An AP can only be "married" and used with a single vehicle at a time. It NEEDS to be unmarried before it will work with another vehicle. So stolen APs, or APs that haven't been unlinked are close to worthless.

Should you buy one, COBB will unmarry it for you, but the fee is $300+ if I recall correctly.

So watch your back.

Accessport v2 and v3 will work on both gens speed3 AND the speed6. No need to update to flash on speed6 maps, it automatically reads and loads accordingly.

I scored my AP cheap on ebay because the seller stated only ms6 in the title so nobody else bid on it.
People are dumb sometimes. Take advantage of it when you can.
