cobb sri OR sure aeros sri? hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I got a 2011 MS3 about 3 months ago. haven't made any mods to it. I was thinking about getting a sri for my first mod. Which sri do you guys think is better, the cobb or the sure aeros? thanks |
Have a preference other than blue? If so SURE. Need CARB cert? Then COBB. |
I have Cobb. I hear the Sure is good as well. BTW this was an easy search, i recommend you get comfortable with that feature and welcome to MSF |
Sure for sure. The maf housing is a work of art. |
Both are equally well. You won't see a difference in performance between the two. |

COBB...integrated velocity stack on MAF housing. |
Sure has a velocity stack on the filter, and a taper machined into the housing, plus the knife edged air straightener. |
Really gotta search dude. There were times people would not be so nice to you. Why not consider CP-E? I have their SRI and I like it. |
why not all of them just in case u change your mind |
I can't believe no one has chimed in with corksport. You get a sri and a tip for roughly the same price as the cobb or sure sri. |
+1 corksport best bang 4 your buck |
SRI is a SRI for the most part so its up to what you want. |
Flip a coin |
If I were to do it again I'd go corksport so I could get the TIP at the same time |
|
Corksport ftw |
|
Our CorkSport intake is CARB certified as well. -Derrick |
does the Corksport have an air straightener as well? |

I just bought my Sure intake and i freaking love it! Sounds soooo good. granted its mated with the Cobb inlet hose that some shop had laying around. Turbo spool is so nice to finally hear. Sounds like a jet spinning up for take off. |
@stang9779 has a great deal on a barely used CS SRI+TIH on the For Sale section |
I have the cp-e Sri and inlet. Absolutely love it!! Sounds amazing and quality was top notch. Plus EdgeAutoSports gave me a hell of a deal. IMO though, if your set on one of those two sri's, I'd get the sure. They are very nice quality and you get several choices in color. Just my 2cents. |
I have the Sure Aeros...It is beautiful. It also comes assembled when you get it. They all do the same thing, with TIP or not. |

Donate.... look in the for sale section... if not I have a SURE intake and love it... but like it was already said... flip a coin... and search... jesus, just search |
CS is the best for the money. You get a TIP with it. Sent from my SCH-I510 using Tapatalk |
From a recent uninstall of a CS inlet i wasnt a big fan. It doesnt keep with much of the stock hose points at all. The recirc hose pipe is so much forward and the one hose needs to be removed and another used. I found a Cobb inlet used and i reused all stock hoses with no problem. and the the Sure intake just needs the elbow from the stock intake and all done for the most part. It was a royal pain to get the Sure to mate with the cobb... |

I didnt say it was a problem it was just not stock stuff...either that or the jack ass that installed it originally SUCKED cause we did notice that the recirc hose was cut to shorten it cause the CS tip bottom pipe was so damn long. |

2nd I have the great deal, order from me. Trust me you need the TIP too. Don't go half assed, go all the way. The factory TIP is flat and a POS. I don't know why they made it so small. 3rd watch which one you purchase. I have heard of some brands throwing the CEL. I think that CS is one of the best when it comes to not throwing the CEL. Please note this is true about the factory TIP and CEL's. I'm not trying to make you purchase from me. Search and you will see. |
