So my question is this. Now that you're aware of the issue, what are you going to do about it.

I'm still waiting on a response from you.

rfinkle2 09-06-2013 12:59 PM

Argghh! Love you guys, and I must post too much.

Joel is doing himself dirty, imo...

Forget about me in this thread. LOL

I'm fine, everyone with the lugs is fine, but I am subbed to watch the CS car with these lugs go around the track as Joel states.

Don't want to see anyone get hurt, but can't imagine these lugs being able to be removed after being pushed as hard as Joel says they will be.

I said what I wanted to say and there is an awareness about the lugs.

Mission accomplished.

DTC kept us pretty strict on spacers for a very good reason. They are a bad idea. If you don't realize those spacers contributed to the failure in some way, I feel for you. Where are the failures with CS lugs and stock setups?

I like corksport. But I will defend @rfinkle2; until the end.

That is all.

Sixxer 09-06-2013 01:19 PM

I know to people that had corksport lug nuts break at the same spot. Neither of them where running spacers. That's why I refused to buy a set for my ms6.

I'm sorry to see that they failed on your as well. Hopefully they will make it right for you.

OK that's enough!!!

September 16-22nd we will be filming Derrick racing on the track (not Auto-X) at the SCCA National Championship Run-Offs.

This will be on a car with slicks, bashing curbs and melting brakes with a Western Regional Champion at the wheel trying to win the National Championship. He will run these lugnuts (as he has before) and we will have video footage and pictures.

inb4herpaderpa...

will he be running oem studs? if not, you should offer whatever studs he's running, with the lug kit, and then state failing to use said stud WILL result in failure.
also, what the FUCK are you gonna look like, knowing there's a problem, putting a man in a racecar, and he loses a wheel on corner entry, and slams the wall?

I am witnessing a couch being gently placed into an empty room as we speak.

we all know joel has a huge fucking head. most engineers do. so someone is gonna send me a lug, and i'm gonna run my go-no go thread plug gauge through it, and them i'm gonna test how easily one breaks at the seam of the two outer sections.

You clearly have not read the fucking thread if you can't find the failures with stock setups. GTFO of here with that bullshit. There have been multiple failures with proper thread engagement.

As far as the member that remarked about CS taking care of me on the OCC failure. If you look through that thread it was a rough process and unfortunately I had to call them out and bring more failures to light before anything was done about it (which is one of the reasons I no longer run their OCC). Much the same seems to be happening here. That being said, It’s fairly obvious that not much was learned from that experience.

I like CS for the most part, however, I do feel they’re going in the wrong direction currently. I for one strongly believe that Joel needs to cool it. Finkle is a well respected member that has promoted your company in the back. Thats no reason to speak so harshly towards him. Thats complete bullshit Joel and you know it. Next time do us a favor and read over what you're posting a couple of times first.

Should have sent them to me.

Cause then maybe I wouldn't have a fucked up passenger side PU.

superdave2335 09-06-2013 02:19 PM

Hey op. send me your address and the link to the gorilla lugs. Ill make this right, and we can be done with these folks that apparently don't give a shit and just want to make excuses. I'm not a big company but after all the damage at least let another fellow member help out. With that being said, you new lugs are on me bud.

Sorry about all the bs you have already been through.

I am wondering what BOV is best for my 07 Speed 3. I need a loud "wapshhhhh" sound, but I don't want to hurt my warranty, and get the most HP. Not sure if this is the right place.

Natey 09-06-2013 02:30 PM

Hey @Tokay444, I'm sorry if I missed it, but do you have some way to test the strength of the lugnuts? I'm asking because I have a set of aluminum lugnuts that I've been afraid to put on my car for a number of reasons (corrosion is one, aluminum + steel + ocean air = no fun getting your wheels off).
They're not CS, but they are aluminum. I wonder how they'd compare to the CS ones...

Corksport has a new BPV coming out. It's currently being tested heavily to insure it won't come flying off and damage anyone's car/face/life.

Just ask Joel

Have they ran their high speed test yet? How about the ball peen hammer test? Fire retardant test? Anything @Joel@CorkSport; ?

I'm currently running the SURE "Reacharound" BOV, but penises keep flying out of it.

bryansawiseone 09-06-2013 03:01 PM

949 Racing?

Buddy Club?

Whatcha got?

Haltech 09-06-2013 03:32 PM

Ok now this thread is getting clogged up with bullshit posts and emotions. CS can address this in their own section and customers affected can do so in their new thread.

What I don't like to see is people adding fuel to the fire when they aren't even affected by it.

I'm also not so sure a parts failure forum will work. This is why stuff should be addressed in the vendors own forum as they are more likely to see it and respond immediately to the issue.

Raider 09-06-2013 05:16 PM

But what BOV Should I get??
