I had decent fuel pressure before I got my pump also.

I didn't trust the stock fuel pump to continue to provide the pressure necessary to run mods.

It was worth the cash to me not to have to monitor my fuel pressure daily.

No. Most states allow 1 sensor to be NOT READY.

Well, perhaps, they are like me, and caught between two things, as i see it, if i were to upgrade the FP, I would be a long time waiting before I had any more money to put towards upgrades. I am currently thinking of going with a RP/TP, RMM, TIP and maybe a BPV and all that together is still not near the cost of the FP. I understand the logic, but the logical route would probably not be as much fun, at least till something explodes.

The risk of having a problem with your car dramatically declines if you can keep up with fuel demands.


Here are the facts and figures:

The company who has the most dyno time with the car is Cobb.
As soon as you remove one of the catalysts, you are considered (by Cobb) to be stage 2.
All of Cobb's stage 2 calibrations command 1750 psi fuel pressure (and an upgraded fuel pump).

^man, one instance of ford fluid and a busted tranny does not an epidemic make. i've had mine in for close to 10k now, no issues and loads of people on here use the motorcraft stuff with no issues.

I never said it is shit. People don't read on the internet apparently. I did say it turned his needle bearings shit though. But thanks for playing. I just couldn't understand why his tranny was so messed up at 37,000 miles. Could have been anything really. But the shop pointed the finger at the fluid he put in it. But yes, the trans in our cars needs to be taken well care of. Just a fair warning... if youre needle bearings go, it's most likely the fluid. Thats all.

I'd wager a bet that it was contaminents entering the tranny during the fluid change that pootched the bearing. Not the fluid. That's lunacy.
