Well at the rate I am putting on mileage, there will be many more oil changes to come, so if you find it, would appreciate it, if you can share

I am staying at 4-5K change intervals now.

I did, and shortly after was warned I should remove it ASAP by my local nator chapter. I haven't had an analysis done, but someone else has and the results weren't good. I'm actually going to switch out to the rotella in the next few weeks.

It's technically made for diesel engines but can be used on our application since its DI

Is there a reason why you guys still using Pennzoil are using Platinum still, instead of Ultra?

I've ben using Ultra since my second oil change.

I was starting to feel like I was the only one using Ultra.

Read this posted by Corksport on their blog.

"All synthetic oils are not created equal. Here in America we are at a disadvantage as to knowing what oils are synthetic and which are not. Due to a loophole in regulations and advertising, companies in America can advertise their group 3 oils (which start life as gasoline and are turned to liquid via hydrocracking) as fully synthetic. Many of these oils such as Royal Purple, Castrol Syntec, Mobil 1 cannot be called synthetic in other parts of the world where these things are taken much more seriously. As such, we recommend group 4 and group 5 oils exclusively. Many oils like Redline, ELF (Total), Amsoil, Torco, and Castrol formulations from Europe are all good examples of this. These oils are so important that every Volkswagen company (VW, Audi, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, etc.) REQUIRE their dealerships to use them exclusively. So when in doubt, you can always have your oil changed at one of those dealerships to make sure you are getting the best quality oil. "

J. Dy- that is in fact the one I got at Advanced Autoparts so it sounds like I'm good. They actually didn't have the one I posted a pic of so maybe they are phasing it out?... Sorry, I posted the wrong pic.

Steven: Yes I did read that in fact. It came across a bit condescending somewhat or I simply didn't understand it as they mentioned Castrol (American as I re-read) then European in the next sentence. I really wasn't aware there was a difference even when reading it (the first time). Thanks for clearing it up a bit for me. So from J. Dy's post it sounds like I'm good to go with the Castrol again as they claim it to be the European blend on the container?..
