CS intake, ecu needs to reset?

hey guys new here, but been doing a lot of reading/research. i got my red speed3 just about a week ago and its awesome, it now just hit 1k. i just installed the CS sri/tip. ight during the install process the nipple on the valve solenoid broke as i was removing one of the breather valve so i had to get a new one. other than that install was easy. ha but anyways the intake sounds great but its not running smooth on WOT. theres a lil hesitation with the boost and i feel like i don't get full power in (sometimes) 3rd and 4th gear. boost gauge shows it goes all the way up to 15psi. and no CEL light. now during the install i had the battery removed. so is the ecu still just adjusting? i'm at 30 miles since the install. should i reset again and not have gone WOT? 1st and 2nd gear pulls great. i just checked all the lines, there are on. and everything is on tight. hope i don't need my flame suit, left it at home.

edit: i will donate asap ;)

I would recheck all connections to make sure it's nice and tight. Sounds like you might have a boost leak. You also shod have waited a little longer for your car to adjust to the intake. I used to drive around 50 miles or so n

Get a few drive cycle in on the car and you should be good.

Ya you should have given it more time for the ecu to realize and learn that your car is taking in more air than before. You could try and disconnect battery and ecu then give it about 50 miles before going WOT

Ok Its starting to run better but I'll reset the computer again and do it right

Nothing else to say. Be easy on her for a bit...don't beat the piss out of her right away. You'll walk away happy.

You guys must have a lot more self control than me. I installed mine yesterday and was ripping on it right away. I guess that was bad? Mine seems fine though. I'm just gonna keep driving. I've got a 6.5 hour drive today, then another 6.5 hours back on Sunday, so that should give it plenty of highway driving to figure things out.

Didn't know you weren't supposed to romp on it. The CorkSport directions are freaking awesome though. That's not the easiest install (the TIP anyway) and everything went smoothly. I didn't have deep well 10mm so I had to use a wrench once I got it close to tight, but that wasn't too bad.

install wasn't bad at all. more work removing the stock stuff than installing the new intake. it was annoying that the lil solenoid on the turbo broke and was thankful the dealership had it in stock. fast install.

make sure all of the clamps on the TIH and SRI hoses are on tight an that the hoses are completely covering the metal/plastic lip pieces that they fit over...

I disconnected the battery again and re-did the ecu adjustment process the right way and the car drives way better. The cs sri/tip is awesome, bout to go ahead and order rmm from jbr and smm fillers from CS and thinking of getting the test pipe to remove the 2nd cat

Glad you got it worked out.

Now, as for those motor mounts. Those inserts you speak of from CorkSport are for the RMM; so if you got both those and the JBR, well, you'd have two options for your RMM.

Gotchya, I'll just get the JBR than! So which smm should I get, JBR also? Or is the smm not so important?

Go JBR or go home.
Get it just cuz you can.

The only company to make all the mounts is CP-E, which are quite pricey. They had a few hiccups in the past, however, these issues have since been addressed.

A popular choice for the transmission mount is from TRZ. I've had one installed for over a year with no issues, as have many others.

JBR, along with AWR also offer the passenger side mount. JBR recently released his and AWR has been on the market for quite some time.
