dafuq is this? http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/940...0908112447.jpg had my console apart to do shift anchors and noticed three connectors that go to nothing. the smaller two on the top connect to dead sockets at the back of the ashtray. the big one below just sits there. any ideas that these are for? i'm guessing the big one would be for an automatic shifter. |
I could be wrong, but I think it's for the GT model of the NA 3. They have a heated leather seat option and the switch is on the center dash. |

Shouldn't be too hard, here's a pic of how it's set up in the GT model: Heated seat switch |
And there is that white plug below too that has nothing going into it... Is it all related? |
@snOhio Do you have a gen 1 or gen 2? |
There was no option for heated seats on the 2nd gen |
Not for the MS3, but for the naturally aspirated 3's there was. I would think they would use the same internal wiring harness as their interiors are almost identical. At least that was the case when I owned a 2010 MZ3 S, it had all the wiring for the GT model, but just none of it was installed. |

^ me too. thats what those are for. |
For Canadian models I believe. Seat heaters. They certainly didn't offer that shit in Texas. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2 |
@backward_0 Why the fuck would you want heated seats in Texas? :shocked: |

I'm curious do texans get the option of a block heater also? Willing to bet they don't.. Either way, its stupid to sell a car in Canada with heated seats then sell the same car in the US with a different wiring harness. Costs more for R&D. It'd be better to just sell the car without the package and use the same wiring harness. Which im willing to bet it what happened. |
Block heater.. is that that extension cord thing in the grill? |
I'm in Texas and would kill for heated seats. It dips below freezing a shitload during the winter here in the panhandle. |
