DDM Tuning SUCKS!

Never order from DDM Tuning. I know some people have without issue. But, I received my kit and the connections for the fogs/heads were reversed and not even correct. All the hardware is crap. Ballasts look like they were taken off of parts of a Power Wheels. Why the FUCK would I want 3k 35W headlights!? They did not even send me the correct headlight in the first place so it wouldn't have worked anyways. What a bunch of idiots.

Overreact much? They're $30 HIDs.

Did you contact them so they can correct the issue?

My DDM tuning HIDs are wonderful.

Monotonous ONE 05-04-2011 08:52 AM

i think your a fucking idiot

and your post doesnt make any sense at all

heres a quote from another post of yours:
Quote:

I'll just get led's for the drl's and turn signals front and rear. I ordered 6k 55watts for the heads and 3k 35watts for the fogs. I'm psyched!!! Nah..im in So Flo.

So your crying because they sent you what you ordered??? the fogs and heads take the same H11 bulb...so if it will connect to the heads...OMG DING DING DING it will connect to the fogs. Interesting.

So is your real problem that they sent you the wrong connector for the heads for the 55w kit?? Or did you order the wrong shit cause your an idiot?

Which is it?

DONOTBUGME 05-04-2011 08:55 AM

I have 35w 3K in my fogs, they work fine. And big deal if you have to turn the plug around cause polarity is mixed up.

AegisKlein 05-04-2011 09:07 AM

just installed my DDM Tuning HID's this weekend. The connections matched up great, they look great, and the ballasts are solid.

Because you're pissed off with whatever it is, doesn't mean you need to slam a company without attempting to resolve the issue first.

DDM HID's are great. Even if they go bad, they have a lifetime warranty, and best of all, they are $40. I can throw them away and it's no big loss.

silvapain 05-04-2011 09:29 AM

Sounds like operator error to me.

I agree with Mono.....dude you probably ordered the wrong shit. As for the reverse connectors...easy fix turn them around with a pin extractor. For ~$30 these are the best for the money + warranty. Chill out man.

Nazarite 05-04-2011 10:06 AM

I've never looked into HIDs since I can see just fine but now I'm intrigued, are these like any other bulbs, literally unscrew and rescrew, or is it a little more involved?

They screw in just like normal bulbs. The only difference is you need to find a spot for the ballasts. If you purchase the slim ballasts they are very easy to hide.

The difference is pretty big, you won't regret it.

clowncar 05-04-2011 10:29 AM

I bought my DDM HIDs from Aetherfury... over a year of use and not one single problem with them

MarkyMark 05-04-2011 10:50 AM

Me too, got them for my kia and the wife's rabbit. The rabbit even had a ballast go bad after a week, and they had it warrantied in a couple days. Top notch in my book.

JS + MS3 05-04-2011 10:53 AM

I don't have the ones from DDM but been hearing so much good things about them.

xtasy 05-04-2011 11:26 AM

I don't think he's going to respond.

EvilMonkey 05-04-2011 11:49 AM

Nah, I'll take the fall for this one. Ordered the wrong bulb type. All of you calling me an idiot can go stick a hot juicy dick in your faces. I'm just gonna send everything back and go with Retro Solutions HID kits. Fuck this Made in China shit...I'm done.

As for the 35w 3k fog light quote. Its all preference. So I'm an idiot for liking something different than you. ::clap clap:: I'm going with either 5 or 6 k 55w heads and fogs now anyways.

Enjoy overpaying. Are you 12 or something?

AegisKlein 05-04-2011 11:53 AM

Please make sure to post again when the 55w bulbs melt your fog light housing.

mrFanel 05-04-2011 11:54 AM

I bought 3 kits from them over the years and had not a single problem. I think you fail at reading instructions.

I'm sure the Retro Solutions HID kit will have a "Made in China" label on them too. Just not drop-shipped from there.

Damn you beat me to it....

EvilMonkey 05-04-2011 01:34 PM

So what should I do with the fogs then? Should I go with a 35w 5 or 6 k?

silvapain 05-04-2011 01:58 PM

Nobody said anything about 3K fogs being bad. That's what I would get.

I thought they needed a relay or some sort? I had no idea they were that plug and play. My other car needed a relay installed for them to work the best.

Thanks.

You dont need an additional harness with the 35w bulbs.

wildacex187 05-04-2011 07:47 PM

i've owned 2 cars with 55watt in fogs and no problems. my ls430 had them and then had them in my se-r altima. looked great and both kits were from DDM

cpolly69 05-04-2011 08:07 PM

This post is gold - OP comes on all full of piss and vinegar for everybody including "cheap ass china" DDM and then realizes he fucked up - still talks shit to everybody , and to top it off asks for help... AWESOME!
For the record, I bought my speed in Feb08 - got hids in like March 08 (DDM fogs and lows)
Over 3 years later both still work like a champ - I even did a shitty job of mounting them and they bounced around all inside my bumper for forever - WTF else do ya want...

Damn, I thouht you did need those even for the 35w ones for some reason.

EvilMonkey 05-04-2011 10:20 PM

Sending the DDM ones back tomorrow. I have dealt with their shitty customer service for the last time hopefully. It was my bad and I take full responsibility for ordering the wrong bulbs. Win some and you lose some, oh well. I ordered Retro Solution 55w digital 6000k heads and 35w 3000k fogs. This was the original setup I wanted. I have a buddy that told me I should have ordered these first. I should have listened.

Your stupidity hurts my head. You formed an opinion of a company based on a mistake YOU made. Obviously DDM is doing something right with all of the happy customers on this forum. Also it sounds like they sent you exactly what you asked for.

No no no.

1. I was upset
2. Made irrational statement towards a company that doesn't suck actually.
3. Okay, I was an idiot. lol.
4. I take all the blame. I even told DDM that.
5. Shipped back DDM kit because it is useless to me.
6. Ordered Retro Solutions.
7. I am now enjoying my Starbucks Osama Bin Latte.
8. Have a great day.
9. :)
10. I wanted to make this even.

So why not just have DDM send you the bulbs you SHOULD have ordered? DDM would probably more than willing to. I just don't understand why you are switching to a different brand when the original company would more than likely go out of their way to make you satisfied.

Monotonous ONE 05-05-2011 09:11 AM

because hes a silly faggot

EvilMonkey 05-06-2011 10:23 AM

Truthfully I was not happy with the quality of DDM's stuff. I know the retro stuff might not be much better but they have a lifetime warranty on their ballasts and bulbs. So that right there is pretty much why I switched. And plus I am an impatient sunofabitch when it comes to stuff like this.

wolly6973 05-06-2011 10:28 AM

DDM has lifetime warranty also....
