Denso ITV24 plugs Whats your feelings on these. My car has cai/tip. Got a Ap in the mail and fp internals. I have 22000 miles on it wondering if these would be a fit. Thanks for the help. |
no need for those with you mods, maybe 1 step colder but on stock boost there is no need |
Thanks. I was thinking that. But wasnt sure. |
fuck denso's anyway when you do need new plugs go with ngk |
when is it a good time to change the plugs? I would personally swap the stock plugs for NGK's just dont know when to do it. Current mods= Sure intake/TIP/Sure race pipe/COBB AP/turbosmart BPV/ Im taking the car to CP-e here in Maryland monday to get Cp-e HPFP/Cp-e FMIC/RMM installed |
the stock plugs are ngk just leave the car alone lol |

I'd go with the NGKs simply because I've had good luck with them. But, the Densos are still a quality product. Usually you'd want to go with a step colder plug if you went with a more aggressive tune (raised the boost a notch or two). If you're going to have a professional tune the car, I'm sure they'd let you know when/ if you need them |
Are the Densos the ones they call like One step colder or something? Azenmind, what rims are those on the blue speed? |
The ITV22's are one step colder. And the gap is a lot closer to what's recommended for the MS3. But, I think the ideal is still .028 (opinions vary). The NGKs need to be gapped properly out of the box. The rims are Konig Kilograms. Simple. Clean. I like them. |
@JakeMS3; if you're going to actually tune your car, then get the NGK LTR7IX-11 but leave the stockers in for now. |
I will be running stage 1 tune on the AP next week when i get my FMIC and CPE HPFP. Stage 1 w/upgraded Intake/TIP/IC/HPFP I will wait until I get downpipe and CBE to go stage 2. Thats when I will probably upgrade the plugs. Thanks for the input. Where can I find those NGK's? |
Pretty much any automotive supply store. I ordered mine through O'Reilly. Most people just order them offline. Just make sure you order the NGK Iridium IX (6510)'s |

And I'm telling ya, you're doing yourself a major disservice running an OTS map over a custom tune. :) |
I will try to find an e-tuner somewhere near me off the Cobb site and take your advice about getting a custom tune. I heard I can send them my data, they send me a map to download to AP then just flash the car. Im guessing when I get DP and CBE I will need another tune, especially for that DP! |

You have sooooo much to learn. :) Please don't mod you car until you come out to a local meet with Nator DC. Did you read any of those links I gave you in your introductory thread? Let us show you the way dude. You're about to spend a lot of money and still end up with a slow car. LOL. |
Haha! youre right bro I will standfast and just make it out to the next meet and go from there. Thanks for the input |

I'd go take a look at any of the e-tuners listed on this site, all of them have tuned plenty of MS3s. I've heard nothing but awesome things about all of them. |
You've got an excellent tuner that is local to you. You'll get a chance to meet him at our meets. |
