DP + stock catback fail

Hey guys, I installed a CS 3'' DP with a stock 2.55'' catback. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I want to upgrade to a full 3'' turboback exhaust. Looks like the best option is buying another downpipe with 3'' connection, and buying a CS 3'' catback. Does anyone know of a good alternative without replacing the downpipe? Is it possible to cut a 2.55'' flange on the downpipe and weld a 3'' flange? Has anyone been through this before? Thanks!

Corksport made a downpipe that didn't have a 3" connection?
I thought it was just the "race pipe" that went either way.

The Canadians on here bay bash you!

it is doable, but I would recommend that you get your exhaust first and do a proper fitment and measurement so you only cut once.

they do have that option available for the downpipe.

My bad.

Our catted downpipe replaces both stock parts and connects at the cat back connection in the stock exhaust and 80mm version. The non catted downpipe still uses the racepipe aka second cat delete.

If you get the magnaflow exhaust it has stock 2.55 flange that connects to the downpipe then goes 3 inches back. The reason i know this is because I modified my Magnaflow to make it 3 inches all the way. If you check the gen 2 definitive exhaust thread you will see. Look for my post.

Thanks guys, will post the outcome. I have bigger problems now, the after cat O2 sensor is reading high voltage, and odds are that the aftermarket cat is not functioning properly. Did anyone have problems with Corksport catted downpipes?

Have you submitted a trouble ticket with us?

Derrick, thanks for your reply. I will submit a ticket today - I wanted to first check if people had similar issues, and maybe I was missing an easy fix.

@Godzilla;, what did your problem end up being? I just put a in CS high flow cat and I'm throwing codes related to the back O2 sensor.

High flow cats usually throw codes as well.

CS's instructions do say that "No CEL" should exist. So i'm just trying to cover my bases.
