| Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah its neither pleasant nor fun so I don't do it much. When I do, I skip gears.... 1st to 3rd to 5th is usually sufficient. Anyway, its nice to be able to do. One friend had an old 1985 Omni GLH Turbo and snapped the clutch cable. In his case he was able to use the starter to get moving in 1st and then upshift, driving all the way to the dealership without using the clutch at all.

| Not Ranked : 0 score When coasting in neutral, i.e. engine idling, AFR's target stoich, which means the engine is being fed fuel, that's the only way the engine would stay running. Think about it, it's common sense.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The momentum of the vehicle keeps the engine turning without fuel. If you would look at a data log you'll see the O2 isn't reading 1 lambda, it sticks on 28.X and the injectors shut off. I'll be back with proof later.

I thought @chimmike was arguing decelerating in gear doesn't shut off the injectors, then when he responded I naturally though he was arguing his point (which I was confused on) even when he restated it. Decelerating in neutral = fuel being consumed Decelerating in gear = no fuel being consumed (injectors off) reading fail! I even went and decelerated in gear while logging it! lol
