Driving Shoes???

Ok, so the last couple of days I've been searching to find a good sneaker that I can wear that will also be a great driving shoe. I've really had my heart set on a pair of Piloti Prototipo's. Anybody have a pair of these that would recommend them, and wear they got a good deal on them?

Any other shoes you guys would recommend??

Puma replicats are pretty good I hear, and cheaper than most, I bought some online when they had a 40 %off deal but they were a little small. Or get some sweet wrestling shoes or something.....vibram five fingers would be good as well.

Believe it or not, I have a pair of Kenneth Cole shoes that are GREAT for driving. Actually, the brand is Unlisted and the shoes are called Quick Wit.

The soles are ultra soft and by far the best shoes I have found for heel-toe. These aren't sneakers, but hope this helps anyway.

Pilotis are nice and lots of guys i autox with use them but I found some NIKE indoor soccer shoes that work awesome. Thin soles, hard round heel for heel toe driving, pretty comfortable even when working the course all day.

Nike Cortez...and you can get out of the car and walk in them while not looking like a fag...unless you get the ridged sole caught on a rug while walking and you stumble.

I find Pumas and Vibrams to be great for driving. If you get pumas make sure they have the rounded off heels.

I picked up some Piloti G16's at shoebacca when they were on sale a while ago. Comfortable for walking too.

I mostly drive barefoot in the summer time because I wear flipflops all the time but dint like driving with them on. Ive found that shelltoe ADIDAS work pretty well. They are nice and flat.

I have puma's and love them.
I also have three friends that have the Piloti Prototipo's and they love them as well. Can't go wrong with either. Puma's are slightly cheaper but not by much.

Puma if you want to cheaply get the "driving shoe" style without the price. The ones that wrap the tread up the heel. Bit narrow for my feet, but not altogether too bad. It's gotta be some sort of sneaker for me. I can manage barefoot, but not at my best. And the worst experience I've had was steel-toe work boots, that was a nightmare; too wide so I kept trying to push two pedals at once, and way too stiff in the ankle so I was all awkward and "Hulk smash pedal!" And barefoot's too far in the opposite direction. Need slightly stiff sole but freedom of movement in the ankles is a perfect shoe for driving for me. Anything else and my clutchwork gets clumsy.

I prefer my DC's, my favorite pair is my DC flat tops because they allow the ankle to move freely and have awesome tread so you're never slipping off the pedal, granted our pedals have grip anyways. I'm also a big DC fanatic and have like 10 pairs so if im not driving to work in my dress shoes i'm wearing DC's... i may be slightly biased haha.

Same here. I got a bunch of Rob Dyrdek's line of skate shoes (I don't skate, so call me a poser idc). If I'm not in my dress shoes for work, I'm rocking the DCs.

I wonder if my running/work out shoes would be good... Reebok Fuel Extreme

Puma Evertracks. Very thin and flexible sole to "feel" the pedals. I need the thin soles especially with the MS3 on/off clutch grab point feel. And having a 34 inch inseam it helps give me another 1/4-1/2 inch more leg room without having to move the seat back any further. I already have the steering wheel all the way out and the driver's seat lifted in front 3/8 inch to provide more thigh support. I wish the steering wheel came out another 1/2 inch.

I'm still learning how to drive a stick and I do far better barefoot. I can feel the clutch catch better, but I have yet to try to drive in my puma's and after reading a few comments here I'm going to give it a whirl.

Dont "learn" to drive in any one thing, every single pair of shoes you wear will make it a slightly different experience, some have softer soles, stiffer arches, its all going to be a little different.

+1 to that. I've been working my way into the minimalist scene for the past 4-5 years, and the NB seem to of found a near perfect balance of comfortable/normal looking/everday wearing/minimalist/driving/running shoe.

Yeah I've got some Adidas with a flat bottom and the rounded bottom and they seem to work well for me, I have some Cole Haans drivers that aren't bad for driving in either.
