I personally hate driving barefoot because im tall and basically have to sit all the way back and just work the clutch with my ankle, with bare feet im like a hair shorter and have to stretch to reach the clutch -_-

I have a pair of Adidas D'Artagnan II fencing shoes that have been retired from competitive fencing and that I use for "serious" driving. They're incredibly thin-soled and feelsome shoes to start with. Add to that the fact that I wore them down a fair amount after using them for a season of fencing, and now they're just about perfect.

Rolled Heel, thin-sole, very lightweight...it doesn't get much better.

I have a pair of Puma Hawthorne Mid good for driving & karting kind of flat for walking but they'll do. Puma Replicats should be pretty cheap now too but they run small. I wear a 12 and have wide feet. I have some black leather Adidas indoor soccer shoes. My top favorite of all for any and everything. They're not Sambas or Adi Racers. Very hard to find.

I have some vibrams and they are great but pumas are the way to go for a good driving shoe.

I would recommend to drive with shoes that have a flat surface bottom. I learn the hard way with running shoes with ridges on the bottom. Never got comfortable with them. I love driving in my ethnies

Same. I have narrow feet but not flat arches, and Puma Drift Cats are just about the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

They are also excellent driving shoes, with enough heel padding that your foot doesn't go numb on a long drive, but thin enough soles on the balls of your feet for great pedal feel.

Saucony Bullets, search them. Talk about pedal feel on the cheap. They work great.

converse does the job for me... slim and soft. pedal feel is nice, and they are narrow enough for me not to feel like bigfoot.

I just use whatever. I currently wear some Quicksilver sandals, Nike Free run 2, some preppy Macy's brand shoes. I have no issues with driving comfort in this regard, nor with heel toe pedal operation

I use whatever I'm wearing. Dosen't matter for me since I mash down regardless of what I'm wearing, been doing that since I started driving, and my feet have yet to fail me.
