[UPDATE]

If you guys are looking an affordable pair of driving shoes, I believe I have found a really good pair.

They are called "Bullet" by Saucony, you can have them for as little as $40.

Just thought I would let everyone know about them.

clowncar 08-03-2011 10:21 PM

barefoot ftw

fishin53 08-03-2011 10:42 PM

flip flops or converse. lightweight ftw

TriO 08-03-2011 10:42 PM

can't drive in flip flops... always take them off and drive bare foot

These Saucony's are half the weight of the Converse. Amazing.

driving shoes?!?! really? this isnt boxing, lance armstrong bike riding or snowboarding where you need "special shoes". throw on some shoes, or go barefoot and stfu....just drive the damn thing!

HLR Element 08-03-2011 11:39 PM

i can't drive this car barefoot, the way i let off the clutch i'd skin my feet after a drive. I'm use to letting the clutch slide against my shoe to let off the first few inches.

driving shoes do help though, i got so used to them when i wore sneakers i found my self slowly revving the engine at a light without knowing until i was at 2500rpm lol...

Try rev matching in combat boots...hah..

I thought I was the only one that did that. Driving in my belleville boots makes me cringe every time.

That's what I was thinking. I drive in Doc Martin work boots, flip flops, cheap tennis shoes, Nike football cleats, ASICS running shoes, hiking boots, Vibram Five Fingers... pretty much whatever is on my feet. Never had any issues or preference.

Lol I do this all the time in my steel toed shoes.

Puma speed cats are nice for driving. Walking, however is a painful affair in them at least for me.

These are fantastic, especially if you have big feet. Makes heel and toe much easier.

benx86 08-04-2011 11:05 PM

Just don't try to drive your MS3 with soccer shoes or cowboy boots!!! It's not easy, believe me :)

forcedinduktion 08-04-2011 11:57 PM

I really like driving in my pumas, i want to get a pear of pilotis

JNR5005 08-05-2011 12:07 AM

Oakley Makes some nice ones. I had the white hot laps when I was a valet but you can't walk around in them, they wore out real quick.

i've noticed that too, walking in some of the puma shoes becomes painful cause of the heel and little support in the middle... some arne't bad soccer shoes though for indoor

I hate those shoes with a passion, they make the wearer's feet smell like death as soon as they take em off. Once had a chick come over in em, omg when they were off, biggest turn off ever!

Hey guys,

I have been thinking of getting some comfortable driving shoes for a while now and was just curious on what people like to wear/look for when buying a good pair?....

If I could find some Sparco Pitlanes in my size(12) I would be all over them.

I don't think this is a strange a question as others. I drive best with adidas shell tops.

Wearing running shoes, hiking boots, or dress shoes affects my shifting. But...this is probably because I drive most often in the shell tops.

I prefer to drive barefoot though.

same here. flip flops just fall off my feet or get jammed under the pedals. in the winter i wear birks and take them off to drive... when i end up wearing shoes, shit feels all wrong.

Yanahdi 08-07-2011 01:53 PM

I just ordered a pair of these from Amazon:

My tracking shoes, extremely uncomfortable for walking, but great heel-toe action: OMP Sport - OMP Sport OS50 Shoes

For when I want to pick up hoes, and still drive fast: adidas Porsche Design CL - Free Shipping, Return Shipping - Your shoe store.

Almost every pair of nice shoes I own are adidas. Those blue and white ones are SEX. Thanks for the link. I will own them very soon. Unfortuanately, probably before one of your occ kits LOL.

I did buy a pair of adidas because they match my car. I'll see if I can find a link.

I drive in my finger shoes. Cant find real driving shoes in size 14 with a 4E width.
This was as close as I could find.

Those look more like fins....

KusteLokal 08-08-2011 05:24 PM

I drive in skate shoes all the time, vans or etnies, never gave me a problem. Sometimes reebok running shoes when i go to the gym.

bigx5murf 08-09-2011 08:13 PM

Air Jordan Alpha 1, lightest most comfortable sneaker ever, oldschool style, new school tech.

Scoobs 08-09-2011 08:33 PM

Skate shoes, Airwalks. If you have money or racing go with Piloti.

Tokay444 08-10-2011 06:06 AM

Alpine stars.

JMEngineer 08-10-2011 06:17 AM

Honestly... I love driving in my New Balance 574s. Even when they were new I could feel the pedals well enough to out drive most people and they just get better as they wear.
