I just spent the evening at the Ritz Carlton Residencies (my wife had a film opening party/screening there), the sort of place where multi-millionaires live with their 6 figure cars and they never have to park because there's a valet for that. Pull up in my MS3 and hand the fob to the valet. As I'm walking in, I overheard the one valet say to the other, "That's a nice car."

I know this car is awesome, but it was nice for that extra valet-dation. (Totally just made that joke up! We'll see how funny it is tomorrow when I'm sober.)

^^same here. im an assistant manager. I try to park all the nice(r) cars myself on our front drive so that my employees don't go and rape them.

Lol I had valet park my car once in Seattle, I told him it had a turbo timer and to not park it in gear, he fucked that up.
Either way I had it in valet mode and warned them that I have multiple cameras in the car (which I do).

There is something about a nice quick/fast car that almost anybody can afford compared to the dream that is your "average" supercar.

I've always been more deeply interested in the former as opposed to the latter. lol

I can tell you from my experience as a valet guy, that even though their opinions may not matter, valet drivers often appreciate a properly done car. You learn quickly the ability to realize many things about the owner and about the car.

I was always more excited to drive a nice WRX/STI, EVO, or Mazda than I was parking Porsches, Ferraris, etc.

Because of my experience as a valet I gladly let them park my car in hopes that they will enjoy it for the 2 minutes they can and at the end of the night, they hope to grab my keys and drive it again. Usually it gets compliments on exhaust, short shifter, lowness etc.

I was a valet manager for three years. We didn't overly fuck with people's cars, but enough to not valet unless you know the people who are doing it.
